Default Re: Avatars Gone from Norrath

Have they ever suspended or banned a guild? I think I vaguely remember hearing something about a guild being banned once on Rallos Zek years ago, but other than that...not so much. I think they are worried they would lose too much revenue. Either that or the bad press they could potentially get from banning a 'raid' guild. *shrug* Easier to listen to people whine and ban the forum accounts of people that post legitimate facts of exploitation~

Also part of the problem is the fact that typically for an exploitation a GM has to physically watch the so-called exploit going on before they can do anything; at least it was that way in EQ.

Large portions of guilds have been suspended in eq2 on multiple occasions for multiple reasons.

Ah, cool. Nice to know that they do sometimes take action.

But action should include removal of loot gotten, and a suspension for all members involved the raids.

pretty sure when guilds were bugging out MO back in kos and killing him over 60 times in a day they got all their lewt taken away, sure they arent killing these mobs repeatedly, but they deffintly arent killing them legit, funny thing is GM watches elysium pull avatar, avatar has adds, gm leaves, next pull no adds, they die, velocity pulls, no adds, velocity takes an hour to kill an avatar with no adds, i lol, they claim greatness, odak hacks, the end, take lewt imo!

I happen to know of a... certain guild... that gained 10 guild levels in 2 hours through some sploit involving the bone bladed claymore quest (the betrayal part where you had to kill a lot of sentient beings).

They took 14 levels away from the guild, straight up deleted a couple peoples' toons that were actually barely involved in the fiasco at all, and handed out week long suspensions to half of the guild and didn't touch the rest. Funny part was the punishments were completely random and in fact didn't even target the several main people behind it such as the guild leader.

My point is, SOE has pretty fucked up priorities when they let people like this avatar bugging get away with things but God forbid someone sploit up some useless guild levels.

edit

ok the guild was Ebonlore

I'm just waiting for Gnorbin in his infinite wisdom to post and congratulate them for their "world wide first" Avatar of Below kill like what happened with that guild from Storms... lolz
