If they do it like lotro, you will have an option to enable the voice chat.

So unless you enable it, you don't have to talk and certainly don't have to listen.

I for one demand that they have a biometric scan that some how ensures people who sound like they never hit puberty cannot under any circuimstance enable their mic.
While i am at it, people with annoying fake southern accents and anyone who sounds like they live in the bronx zoo. and boston. Push that place into the sea unless they learn how to pronounce words with the letter R in them.

As long as they can't ban for swearing over the voice chat. I assume there are no logs, nor any way to implement a language filter. Pickup groups beware, you'll get an earful for acted retarded.

iirc it was vivox that was implemented in eve-online and it sucked arse, the voice quality was lousy with constant echo's. Surely this will add lag to the game as well? in the end the eve devs added it to the game as a freebie as not enough people were paying for it.

Hah, prolly gonna be able to file this one under "Leave no stone unturned in the effort to nickle and dime them to death" category.

IMO 99% chance this is gonna be ad supported or micro transacted, and will suck.

I wonder if this part will be known as the "mangina" feature:

Do you think it might entice Animalistic back to EQ2?
