I can't help but give myself special credit because I'm a Shadow Knight who's completed these collections by A) invising, B) feigning when necessary (usable only once every 2.5 minutes), C) using Mesmerization potions, and D) Throwing up Divine Aura to harvest without being killed (Usable once every 10 minutes).

I spent a lot of downtime while doing this collection. I have Jedi-like patience. Sure, the Shadow Knight class is not the best to pick up the shinies, but it's possible. I found all of the rares myself....solo (KC was the biggest pain in the ass - took me a long time). I solo, so I don't particularly make a ton of money to blow on shinies. In fact, collections are my primary source of income, so I'm not exactly rolling in platinum.

I think I put my time in. I don't need the approval of you naysayers, but I figured I'd share my experience to perhaps allow people to understand what I've endured. It's like working in a group, doing all the work, and everyone gets equal credit. It's annoying, is all.

Fine, grats on playing a multiplayer game solo, and not having fun with it. Guess what? You can CONTINUE to solo the game and not have fun, and collect all the blue shinies your goggles can detect.

Should you decide to group, you'll have to think, hey, I might have to share a blue shiny or two. Is that worth the possible loot / quest completion / experience? If it's never going to be, don't group up. Simple as that. If you need to group, live with maybe losing a blue shiny to someone that hasn't worked (to use your term) to get the goggles quest completed.

Unless the grp is together and in that area for the SOLE purpose of blue shiny farming, then the group didn't do a damn thing that it wasn't going to do already. However, the goggles didn't just magically appear on the floor of the dungeon and wait for me to pick them up as I ran by. I for one won't even bother to put on my goggles in a pug that is randoming blue shinies, someone else isn't going to mooch off of my hard earned plat just because they happened to be walking through a room.

So explain why someone without goggles is entitled to roll on something that, no matter how long they stood around, cleared a billion enemies, and stared at the blank spot at the ground, they would never be able to even harvest a blue shiney?

Those with goggles may need a group to make it easier, but those without the goggles need someone who does have them to make it even possible. Fortunately if you have the goggles, you get the final say if the group gets to leach or not.
