We were pulling Disease, and the lag wasn't really existant, then Mischief spawned so we went over there, and our first 3 pulls of it were horriblely laggy. It was definitely server-based lag, as I could start casting, and then it would just hang on the casting bar. Also, the Kunzar Jungle named wasn't very laggy, nor was the Jarsath one. But the Fens new one was laggy. It would seem like adds spawning is causing a massive amount of lag. As we all know, Mischief spawns a lot more adds than Disease does, which could cause the lag. Same with the Fens mob as well. It would seem almost connected to adds spawning in a fight. I bet a great test would be to have a Priest/Tank go try MotM and see how horrid the lag is for that fight.

Thank you Zoltaroth for taking an interest in solving this issue.
I am using the default UI myself as well. The lag I am getting seems to be from both the Server and Client side. The client fps drop to ZERO for upto 5 seconds while the info in my spell book is being refreshed. Casting my self buff and group buff cause lag outs even when no mobs are present. Prior to GU39 I lived with a similar lag for two years of playing eq2 and then the day Silverfrost aka 'Don Neufeld' came out without his fix the lag disappeared and all was good. That is until it reappeared on yesterday's update only it is worse now. The One or two second lags are now 5 second lock ups. The game as it is now is unplayable for me.

What info in your spellbook is being refreshed? I can't seem to find anyone able of reproducing this on-demand. Currently some people say it only happens when they engage mobs. Is this what you are seeing as well?

Yes, I can produce the lag on-demand either with my buffs or engaging a mob with my "baton flurry" CA which changes the cast timers on all my CA's. My self buff changes the attack value of all my CA's. Every CA in my spell book is affected by these buffs. Mobs that debuff will cause a lock up for 5 seconds.

I am testing this right now as well as asking a few people in game to test it on live, and while it does spike a little (Bps goes up) No one is getting the 5 seconds of lag you are describing.
If you fight a mob solo and use this ability do you still have this issue or is it only in raids?

The lag spike is the same solo and in raid. I have talked to other people in game about and it seems rather rare extreme case that I am having. Only a handful of people on the forums describe the same issue I am having though their lag spikes are lesser then mine.

Re: Lag
Most of the raid noticed it last night too. Went to the castle to kill Pawbuster. We didn;t notice any lag at all untill we zoned in the raid zone. The first few mobs were very very laggy. After about 10 minutes it seemed to mellow out, or my drink got stronger. By the time we got to Pawbuster everything was fine.
Sorry I can't be more specific. If happens again, I'll check network.
