Unrest is no better for Lag. Once we started fighting in VP...Standby for the old.. WTH just happened there.. looks like I blacked out and missed 5 seconds of my life and now i'm dead, and the Ever popular.. Where the hell did that add come from (that has been up for a full 5 seconds beating on the casters and wasn't picked up due to lag).

Looks to be server side from my perspective, I'm getting some lag spikes so bad that at time it will pop me to charicter select if the fighting is heavy.

reminds of the days back then in kos when you always got a massive lag spike when you where in hof and another group zoned in...

the casting lag is annoying as hell, click a spell, 2 -3 seconds later it actually goes off, what makes it even weirder is that itis random and can happen in any situation, be it crafting, leveling alts in sos or raiding.

All these lag descriptions sounds just like when AB was all fubared. We KNEW the server was about to come down when chat lag got to about 20 seconds, and same with the casting lag. They claimed it was a database error, wonder if the same thing is happening again only ww now instead of just ab.

while we're on the subject of lag, though this is unrelated to the recent GU....

i've been getting a lot of lag every time a warlock casts one of their pet spells with their mythical. it's absolutely ridiculous. i've never had issues with swarm pets, but for some reason, the warlock ones drag my performance to a screeching halt.

Not related to mythicals or spell-lag, but I've definitley noticed some sort of performance oddity in Qeynos since GU43. My fps is ok, but turning and performing actions in town feels sluggish. Much more so than before the update.

I guess that's the kicker with the test server as it is... Since there (to my knowldege) isn't any raiding guilds on there. I know in the overland zones we were getting lag, but VP last night made baby jesus cry. Gotta love tanking and having to tell people to wait or "oh shit my taunt didn't land and my other one is still cued up". Every mob felt like a named encounter and on the client-side things were peachy, but the server-side something is defiantly messed up.

I guess you forgot there's 2 methods of testing. Test Server, and the QA Server. They could ya know, load up 24 people in a "false" raid and give everybody dev avatar and see what happens when they just macro people casting a bunch of random ass spells.

Nagafen has been abysmal. We were in VP all of last night, suffering through this.


CA/spell lag seems only to be in combat, and 1-3 seconds (never much worse).

Chat lag is constant (and variable). Once it gets beyond a certain point, it appears the server crashes.

I have yet to see server query commands, like /who, lag at all.

Yeah funny I was thinking the same, unless Im monitoring my CPU usage on my G15 keyboard LCD Im not even really immediately aware it is happening, it occurs and then bam you are back at it like as if a few seconds of your life just fast forwarded, I started to wonder if this was some type of "Donnie Darko" melee-caster rebalancing plan of SoE.

Your issues are different than what everyone else is describing, they are seeing server network lag you are seeing Client lag which is not network related.

It sounds like the PVP servers are worse off than the PVE servers, I know I didn't have any lag last night.

What would help is if someone would PM me while you are in a zone that is lagging so I can log in and check out exactly what is going on. I check my email pretty much all day and PMs do send me emails so I should be able to hop in within a few minutes.
