I wonder how many people here have actually read the official forums? There are plenty of threads critical of SOE there, and very few get locked or moved. People seem to have no understanding that it is not content that gets threads moderated, but rather presentation. However, some would rather blame other people for their own failings.

I wonder how many of you are even capable of communicating in a mature and responsible manner, like ina work environment? If you ar,e why is it so difficult to excercise the same restraint and maturity in an environment like an internet forum?

The Official EQ2 forums are pretty much worthless for solid discussion of tactics, strategy and analysis. That being said, there are plenty of posts taking down because SoE doesn't like the tone or language. But there are also plenty of posts taken down that are respectful for 'excessive negativity'.

Excessive fucking negativity: That's a bunch of bullshit. As a paying customer, beleive it or not, I do have a certain right to post on those forums. I also have a right to be critical of the service provided to me since I'm shelling out cash every month for it. There are several people here that leap to defend Gnobrin's actions, declaring them to be private forums with private rules... But if that was truly the case, I'd be paying a seperate charge for fourm access. I don't. I get access to them because I'm a paying fucking customer. If I choose to express my criticism of SoE, I do have a right to do that... Even on their own forums.

What Noobrin considers 'excessive negativity' is a bunch of bullshit. Ppl have been banned for just sayin in the most positive way possible about bugs in the game and such. I agree with you....mostly, however, as pointed out earlier in this thread, it is their forum and they can do whatever the fuck they wish. I think it's stupid and short-sighted on their part, but it's up to them. If it gets too bad, as a paying customer I can vote with my wallet and go somewhere else for my entertainment.

For me personally, it's actually come to that. They keep adding bullshit and fixing inconsequential shit and leave large portions of the game and game play broken and it's now time for me to leave. I am keeping my eye on a couple of upcoming MMO's and will attempt to beta test and/or simply try out one or two that have piqued my curiosity and when I find one that I like, I'll leave this one and go there. And no, you can't have my shit as I haven't left yet, but I will soon. (I'm also taking a couple of friends with me...this has been discussed and arranged already and I'll bet we're not the only ones. You can take that LoN shit and cram it up your ass SOE...fix my fucking pets.)
