Sometimes you shoot a few hostages to let em know you are fuckin serious!
Anyways, I think it's WAY past time SOE was forced to eat their share of shit sandwiches. They have treated enough of their playerbase with disdain over the years they have a whole lot more coming.
Personally, I say shoot more fuckin hostages, show no mercy, and if they still don't take you seriously, make em regret it.
These fuckin cocksmoking self-important incompetent losers need to be put in their god damn place. We pay for this game and are their customers. THEY WORK FOR US! Act like it for once you worthless twats!
I for one am tired of being treated with disdain and given no satisfation be it in petitions, emails, or over the phone in all my dealings with SOE. They are beyond fuckin lucky I don't live near HQ's and they don't have to dismiss me or blow me off in person.

This bridge wasn't working and if you seriously think it was, how do you explain how raids have been deteriorating nearly every update for the past few months? Excepting yourself, the raiding community seems to have been able to discern this. And we've been protesting it with hardly a hint that we're being listented to, bridge or no bridge. Once we've exhausted the reasonable means of expressing discontent, what other course is there to take?
Maybe people are getting caught in the crossfire, maybe their hands were tied, but they revealed themselves. Sure, on one level, they're just doing their job, but at some point, someone has to tell the emperor he has no clothes on. And SOE is stark fucking naked. If the middlemen can't pass that on, then we clear them out of the way. And if SOE won't take the next step, we'll find some way to escalate it till they have to listen.

Sure this issue has been caused by problems with LFG and SOE but Snark, you are a fuckin retard.

Sure you might love the game (judging by your last few months posts thats a crock of shit) but how about using the brain that you were given before you go of half cocked and fuck things up for the rest of us.

most of the people playing eq2 don't know anything or not alot about coding, but, thats wonderfull for soe, because it means we pay them to do it for us. Unless they fuck up, then poeple will stop paying.
for the illiterate dev's, if you guys want to get your car fixed because the windshield is broken and you get it back with a new windshield but no doors, would you still pay for the great service? No, you certainly woudn't. See, people are allready accepting far more than they have to, so dont push it too far soe, or you will loose even more paying customers.

Re: Why I did this and how we can reach a compromise.
This whole situation is now broken. LFG's well-publicized temper and snap decisions (while totally understandable here) plus Snark's hostage execution, to borrow Radar's analogy, has killed any chance of reconciliation with SOE.
Of course, the good news is there was never really any chance of reconciliation to begin with; the new community team seems hell bent on killing their community rather than fostering it. They apparently feel the "Flames" crowd is a gangrenous wound that has to be amputated rather than cured. Unfortunately, you can't amputate your heart and hope to live.

Re: Why I did this and how we can reach a compromise.
I would like to reiterate a few points:
EQ2Flames is the single greatest source of constructive feedback this game has going for it. How can EQ2Flames be so successful? We don't have common interests in raiding, in crafting, in itemization... But what we do share is a passion for the game that goes beyond simply playing it and hoping for the best.
Other fan sites are little more than masturbatory content recyclers, with a paid staff that hunts down exclusive deals to generate as much traffic as possible. You think those websites are providing the feedback necessary to stimulate real changes in this game? You couldn't be more wrong. As far as I am concerned these fan sites have very little integrity; not that I blame them - if they criticized SOE they would quickly see their revenue suffer as a result.
When the community manager amputated this website from the "official" community I was deeply saddened. This means developers can no longer communicate here, even via pms.
This is absolutely unacceptable.
We were good people; I promise. It's not like we didn't have this info before today.
But when you cut off our only available means of communicating our frustrations, it was a slap to the face.
I listed dev/gm information so that you would see the only alternative. Taking their complaints directly to the source. There were dev's that certainly didn't need to be listed, but I _HAD_ to be objective to give this experiment some integrity.
I hope you lose your job Grimwell. You're the only one that deserves this. You are the worst thing to happen to this game.. ever. As a community manager, you have decided to manage nothing. You have extended your (obviously) weak powers of diplomacy into now cutting off the only feedback worth reading about your game from your most passionate and loyal customers, making the game evolution and development weaker as a result.
Want to work something out? Do it quickly. Because I'm getting more PMs by the minute (some with information so sensitive I am not posting it) and the ball is in your court.
Do whats best for the game.
