That's the only thing I'm waiting on, though I'm not sure why I just don't cancel now, just been holding out - Less then a month for AoC anyway !!!! and Ranger I will become again. Without having to buy tons of arrows

With how many games had potential but failed to go anywhere, I will hold out. I know there are probably more but LoTR and Vanguard were suppose to be the next big hit and just flopped for the most part. The past failures of other games has left me skeptical of future ones.

Time will tell I suppose.

oh well to eq2 it is a dying game, ppl play because they have nothing better to play (altho i think most of them should give WoW another look over) Sony devs have banned ppl (including my own account) for accusations and suspitions with no proof of wrong doing, when they themselves are cheating in thier own game in OH SO MANY WAYS.

Yup, I agree with most of the bitching I've seen here. It's kind of funny in a cosmic joke sort of way though, as I've played my fair share of MMOs now and I keep seeing the same arguments.

I.E. Everything that has been listed in this thread so far about reasons to cancel has been heard on every single MMO, including WoW.

Maybe the only legitimate gripe is about the number of people who actually play EQ2 vs. WoW, which seperates two different reasons why the game sucks (too many people vs. too few people).

Anyway, really interesting thread to read about why people are canceling. Maybe it's because I'm done fooling myself, or maybe I AM fooling myself, but all I've learned from my experience playing MMOs is that really, the grass isn't greener over there. Just a different shade of green...

I reactivated Vanguard a couple of months ago just to have a quick look at the performance. I logged in to find the servers had been merged or changed or something, and my fucking characters names had been changed. Then when I got in game it felt EXACTLY like it did when I quit.

I ran around a bit, saw the channels full of people complaining about no players. And then the crashes started. I think I crashed twice, loaded up the station accounts page and cancelled the billing. Logged back on EQ2.

I sword I'd never play Vanguard again after Zen Dungeon. That was the most unplayable broken bugged laggy fucking shitheap I ever saw. How the fuck that ever went live I do not know, but what I do know is I won't EVER play it again.
