Ok, I'd like to know what the deal is with this Marketplace thing. I can see being pissed about paying real money for gear and whatnot, but fucking fluff pets and appearance gear? Who cares? Let them spend their money on stupid shit. I can see it being a problem if people are buying their mythi...err, wait. With the Station Cash, even if they put cooler stuff up for sale, I think they'd only be undercutting their LoN booster pack sales. People spend hundreds on that crap trying to get cool stuff. Why do that if you can just buy it outright for a flat fee that's probably alot cheaper.

Gimmicks like Station Cash are the wave of the future for MMOs whether we like it or not.

Well for me it was just an extension of the LoN xp pots ect. Now people have 24/7 access to pots for AA and reg xp. From what I have seen in the past with SOE, this is just the begining. If you do not mind then good for you, but I do so I will not support them any longer.

QFT... I've not quit, and I don't intend to. But I def do miss how Everquest (yes, the original one. I quit about 6 years ago when I joined the Military) used to be a real challenge. I started playing EQ2 2-3 years ago and it was a shock to what I was expecting..

My monk (two choices there, human or Iksar, period) got his epic (pre-PoP) and I remember camping Raster of Guk for something like 45 hours total. I was proud as shit when I finally got that bastard, makes me kinda sick when people now complain that they have to wait 45 min for a quest mob to spawn.

Getting around?? www.eqmaps.com was the ONLY option back then, there was no compass, no free skill in Sense Heading. You had to PRACTICE that shit or you were lost, simple as that. "WTB port" was a common phrase, what happened?

Death? Better hope there was a Cleric or a Necro near by, otherwise you're looking at a LOOOONNNNNGGGG naked run. XP debt? Fuck that, try LOSING your level!!

Trains, damn I miss trains.... None of this "I'll just sprint for 20 seconds" crap.

Unfortunately that almost seems like an archaic way with MMOs now. FFXI was pretty much like that except I hated it and Square for other reasons. Things are more casual now. :/

I concur, I won't support Station Rip-Off at all.
They wore out our patience with LoN and now they divert more attention away from the actual game.
A MMO that is entirely geared towards soloing....
A MMO that now void of group content during the last ten levels...

You can already buy XP potions so it already materially affects gameplay. Total BS.

A lot of people that play the game like to gather the house-item & appearance eye-candy and now they have to pay extra for it? Total BS.

Think it will stay just fluff items? Total BS. They have already added a 40% run-speed potion and a fool to think it won't escalate.

How is it void of group content? The newest expansion was almost nothing but group content.

Is the run speed potion in-combat or out-of-combat? Out-of-combat runspeed is little more than a convenience issue and thus is pure fluff. It's cheaper to buy a chokidai totem.
