They used the money from your subscription fees to *produce* LoN so that they could then charge you more money to buy it back in "packs". And they did that /instead/ of working on the *actual game*.

I wouldn't take that toon to Vaults.

Not if I was running the zone at 80, no, but your particular whine was about having sub-80 t8 content to do. In Kunark, it was a valid gripe. Now, it's not. Anyone one of those zones will adjust the level of mobs and loot according to the average level of the group members. I've run Scion of Ice and Evernight Abbey at 70 and Najena as low as 50. So yes, you can run the zones at sub-80 and be successful. You're only real roadblock is finding enough 70-79 players willing to drag themselves away from their solo-grinding to actually try it.

People who think canning an MMO is a good idea are very dumb. If they've killed off 1 MMO, what's stopping them from doing others? The fact is, they are either breaking even, or even *gasp* making money off the MMO so there is no reason to kill it off. It looks really bad when you kill off an MMO as an MMO company, far worse than making a crappy game. Why? Because it means that you are a COMPLETE failure, not a slight failure.

Even though lots quit EQ2, im sure they get alot of new subs too. Like ppl that are sick of WoW etc.

I just got sick of EQ2. 4 years of playin can do that.

EQ2 isnt going anywhere anytime soon, EQ1 has just about the same amount of subs and its still around, what almost 10 years now lol.

NCSoft cans MMOs all the time and they have their dedicated fanbois.

The point is that you can't effectively level from doing that.
To level you still have to grind the solo quest-lines.
Are any drops from a mentor-nerfed TSO zone better than MC gear?
Still no reason to go to any of those zones sub 79.

Even still, NCSoft is by far more respected than SOE by the general MMO community. [ Plus you got the MMO community acting like (insert company here, at the moment it's Aventurine) is Jesus and SOE is the anti'Christ all the time. ]
