I cancelled my account, and here's why - Page 64

I honestly didn't find the adventuring grind too bad (except for the non-intuitive quests). I just hated that after around level 30 TS or so, I couldn't keep my tradeskilling on the same tier as my adventuring without disabling combat XP and focusing exclusively on gathering.
The reason I decided to try eq2 rather than a newer game was because I'd heard that the tradeskilling was great. I guess I was just disappointed with that element.

IMHO SoE did everything they could to make an end to this game like an only 50% pumped up rubber boat going down the niagara falls.
Details not required to mention, eldar players know them but for the sake of all those who think about to try again:
1. Endless hordes of players who complained about this and that were ignored, correction: are still ignored and are going to be ignored.
2. Selfish Devs pimping certain classes, nerfing others for: WTF! I DONT CARE! STFU! (also see #1)
3. Hamster servers: you fucking animal torturers! the hamsters will soon die of their physical exhaustion: server performance degrading, no new server hardware, no improved server software, overloaded client/server protocol. -"No Sir, there are no lags and that is scientifically proven"
4. Speed hacking still possible, see #1
5. No improved performance ever in game client, buggy. just have to compare to "other mmorpg" software.
6. long server downtimes

should be enough to keep new players away to not ever touch this game. if not there is a lot more! these complaint affect everything OUTSIDE the game!

final conclusion: this game is not going to get better, never. soe has proven this excellently.
