Well, last night was it for my last account so I guess I am in the retired/quit category now. Reason 45% generally burnt out/ 45% abortion called RoK/ 10% disgusted with SOE.

But hey, at least I don't have to have a sub to post here. :-)

One week after i quit, I was at a bar drinking with friends, sat back, and thought, "wow, I would be raiding right now. Thank god that shit is over."

It felt like a chore logging in on most nights at the end. Why am I paying for that?

For what it is worth here is my official /ragequit:

My account is completely closed now mainly because I just can't stand SoE anymore. They have gone completely out of their way to make the official forums as useless as possible. Everything is always swept under the rug be it: broken game mechanics, exploits, bugs, lag, class balance, and favoritism. Anytime anything useful is brought up the thread is immediately locked. For a little while I had a voice here by posting on eq2flames knowing some of these issues may be addressed. Now even this outlet has been silenced by SoE. I feel I have but one recourse to make myself heard and that is to let my Eq2 sub fully expire. SoE will not be getting another red cent from me until they open up a little and start listening to the players again.

I cancelled my sub last septembre.

The main reason was simply the lack of variety in Combat. I play a Necro, Illy, and SK, love them all, was levelling a ton of other alts most reached 50. Then it hit me ...

1- i'm now bored of levelling my alts; seen the content a dozen times. 2- i'm now bored of raiding; i press 3-1-2-1-4-3-1-2-1-2 ... etc on my Necro THE WHOLE RAID, i top DPS most of the time. Same goes for my Illy, and SK, though, not as severe as my Necro, there's a 'tiny' bit of change. Tried to level my Assassin in hopes of having a more active class, but, nearly same result, just a sequence and that's it.

Now you'll tell me that most MMOs are like that at end-game, but consider this ... what if SOE just replaced 'some' skills, actually, 'added' some skills to the game, and PAID the effort to balance the classes out yet again. I think we deserve this. Or even add a new class, or merge some, just add MORE skills to every class. Or at least change some as i said before.

I LOVE EQ2, the ONLY thing that bores me is the combat, after 1.5 years of grind, and raiding, i can't stand hearing the name of my skills again, lol.

Well, maybe it's just time to change the game. I'm waiting on AoC, which looks like it's going to be a disappointement , just for change. Have to wait and see.

Before you ask why am i back again browsing through the forums, i was just taking a look at the current state of the game in general. The updates added and fixed a lot of stuff that really make the game better, and i STILL believe that EQ2 is the best MMO out there. I also hoped they really changed the game a bit. But it's still the same.

Off to a new MMO then.


note: this game is great, if you're new to EQ2, keep going, it doesn't get old fast, it takes months, my post isn't flaming or trolling, was just letting off steam as they say .
