I can't really see anything but positivity coming out of this. They were a part of Sony Pictures. You think the head of Sony Pictures knows more about making games or movies? SCEI's sole purpose is generate videogame sales and is run by people skilled in that. It'll give SOE higher visibility to Sony as a whole, and allow them to work easier with the division they'll be producing the Agency for. This is a no brainer they should've done years ago.

Personally i think given time this will mean the end for SOE they'll absorbed into SCEI,not right away thats for sure but its coming mainly becuase it makes sense to have it all under one banner than have it strewn accross a couple of divisions.

I would think as well any future MMO will be made with the PS3 in mind first

Well this is what I've found...

First his full name is: Kazuo Hirai

Now SoE does there email addresses as first letter of first name followed by last name as displayed below..

Real Name: Greg Spence
Business E-Mail: gspence@soe.sony.com

I doubt his would be khirai@soe.sony.com but their website is: http://www.scei.co.jp/index_e.html so maybe something like khirai@scei.co.jp ?

That's my best guess and I found the address for their building in Japan

2-6-21, Minami-Aoyama, Minato-ku, Tokyo, 107-0062 Japan

That's all the info I've found so far I'll keep looking. If we could find an email address of anybody at SCEI we could apply that format for his name.

Soo after raid I was bored and figured why not test my guess from before and send the email address of khirai@scei.co.jp an email and see if I get a "delivery status failure" message back. I figure if I dont what's the chances that somebody else would have that address. Well I tested it and the test email with only a . in the body of it went through. No returned message. So it sounds to me like we might have a winner

in big company you dont have an automatic reply indicating the adress exist or not (else it would help spammer :p)

I'm wondering if some positive changes didn't already occur from this debacle. Lyndro has already posted some on the official forums, confirming publicly that VP itemization is getting changed.

They have also put somebody in charge of finding out what would make a better test server, so maybe the game breaking things don't get pushed live.

worth a read... What would encourage you to play on the Test Server full time?

imo its to late now to salvage the game. to many people have quit and there are new games comming out that look to be better. sure some may come back, but the game isnt going to be the same
