I started the new HQ with the "Ghoulbane Empowered" subquest. I'm not complaining about the fact I have to go into Qeynos, I can understand that they just make the game easier for players who chose Qeynos.

My beef is with the fricken level 70 Epic x4 guards see stealth and invis and patrol from the entrance of the Down Below in a line to the quest NPC at the Temple of Life. I mean, WTF is that needed for. Why do only players from one city have to deal with this.

It's bad enough having to pay 20% extra for EVERYTHING on the broker, since there are basically no goods on the Freeport market, and to buy almost anything, I need to pay the 20% premium for Qeynos goods that Qeynos people don't have to pay. It's not like Qeynos players have a comparable burden, since there is rarely anything on the Freeport market worth buying. The 40% broker fee is little more than a 20% extra tax on Freeport players.

Don't even get me started about all the other BS, like when I got to the end of the Godking quest, and had to then do another crappy subquest for the Koada'Dal language, when everyone else in my group at the time just ran into Qeynos and bought it off the vendor.

They need to stop putting in these extra quest requirements that only burden Freeport players, and they need to remove the broker premium above 20% for all players, regardless of city.

I agree, it's getting ridiculous. I hate the fact that Qeynosians can buy/sell/whatever they want in Kelethin but Freeportians get the shaft. Include stuff that makes the game balanced, kthx

I always wondered if this was the same on other servers, so I guess it's true. The freeport market blows everywhere. You'd think with all the damned bruisers farming there would be more on the FP side, but I guess not.

Also, I believe you play a priest class LFG (may be wrong), I'm surprised you didn't mention the shafting of evil healers in deity picks.

Ok first off, Freeport has the MUCH better diety selections for most classes.

Secondly, those guards in qeynos dont see through invis/sneak, its your pet thats causing the problem. Before zoning into qeynos kill off the dog and cast the invis totem and you'll be fine.

The epics see through invis, one damned one in particular walks right up to the temple. Betray, problem solved. :P

The only epics I've had see me are the jerks by the gates, and I just use the sewers to get around them.

Having an opposite faction alt (preferably on a 2nd account) mitigates all of this. When you gotta have something bad, you meet up in Sinking Sands to transfer the money and then again to transfer the goods. I'm doing this all the time lately.

At first the 40% made sense because it was like the two cities were at war and goods had to be smuggled with greater effort. But any day now I'm expecting Freeport to host Gay Pride parades, and the out-of-the-way fence brokers have become pointless and should be deleted to reduce lag. I'd chop the 40% but only down to 30% to at least reflect the physical distance between Qeynos and Freeport. Unless Kelethin/Qeynos both share the 20% (I haven't checked), in which case Fuck It.
