I am not really sure what you are calling "ahead" here? You mean eq2flames is the lesser of the loosers in comparison to SOE and the game? No winner there in my opinion. Nonetheless I am still enjoying the game at my leisurely pace on one of the worst Lag Servers there is (pun intended).
I also don't think that the site was ever created with the intend for trolls to run around and call everyone noob and stuff either with no other constructive feedback?

@ icKx: I was certainly aware of the sideeffects, but it really doesn't matter too much to me. I really don't care what people think or not, I just have to run my big mouth when something bothers me instead of just sitting there.

Well, it in fact was created for that. That is why there is no moderation. If someone says something so inanely stupid, this is the place for you to tell them in no uncertain terms exactly what you think of that person/what they said/what they wear/how their mom looks... The creators of this site got sick of getting in trouble on the official forums for telling some other player/moderator/developer how they wish they'd die in a fire or something.

If you take things like that seriously, this really isn't the place for you. That is why I question your contention that you should be made to feel welcome here. This just isn't that kind of place. If you find something of value here, take that and ignore the rest. You can't really make this place into what you want. It is just sort of there.

Does that make treating you badly OK? Probably not, but demanding acceptance without showing what kind of person you are just probably won't get you the results you want here. In an ideal situation, people afford other people a basic level of respect. Everyone starts at zero here, some of us came in at negative levels and stay there. Here people have the freedom to be rude jerks and you have the freedom to ignore them, leave, or rise/sink to the occasion.

I beg do differ and believe that you re missing one important point. The site was created to have the freedom to express opinions towards the game, developers, other players, SOE without being banned by those SOE moderators for pretty much anything. The important point is eq2. If you go ahead and say that trolling, flaming for no good reason but flaming is ok and that this is the sole purpose of this board, you might as well take the eq2 out of the name and put NEcheatriots or Dallas Cowgirls in front of flames and you have the site you want. Get my point?

On a sidenote: I find it somewhat amusing that there is a bunch of disgrunteled "retirees" ( they like to call themselves "us")who probably haven't logged into the game in years and they are still here, flaming their bitter hearts out and revelling in the "good old" flames times. So sad....

Yeah, that is what brought us here originally. Plus, it wasn't really created for everyone to have free speech and all of that, it was made for LFG to be able to say whatever the hell he wants about the game, the peope who work on it and those who play it because he is picking up the check.

EQ2 ceased to be an important point a very long time ago...

What is even sadder is some happy little subscriber begging to get into the treehouse.

Unbelievable how stupid someone can be and how easy it was to set you up. You realize that you basically told everyone that LFG is a complete brat that only wanted to rant and bitch and cry. With that it becomes perfectly clear what LFG's removal of priviliges by SOE was really all about.

In short SOE incompetence meets snotty eq2flames crybaby that cannot behave and "throws poop".

Here we have 2 eq2 foren and both are bullshit for 2 completely different reasons. Thanks for explaining that so eloquently.

Oh yeah... First you try crying that no one welcomed you with open arms and were mad that "teh ebil EQ2 flames people were sew meen to you." People told you to shut up and go away.

Then, you try to suck up to the staff of this site with some crap about ad revenue and it being more profitable to be nice to complete strangers with a sense of entitlement.

When that didn't work, you resorted to more crying and name calling and flaunting the sour grapes with the "I didn't want to hang out with you people anyway because you are all so stupid."

You set me up? That's funny, you are the only one running around here begging for acceptance. I don't care how what I said about the creation of this site makes LFG look, I just said it like it is. It wasn't a defense.

You're glad that Sony cut their relationship with this site? So am I and you don't see me over at the official forums begging to be accepted and crying like some rejected virgin when I don't get what I want, either.

Sony's incompetence hasn't encountered me in quite a long time and the only poop that has been thrown around here is the turd that that has been launched by some reject who just can't take a hint. All I did was tell you that your cry for acceptance probably wouldn't work and why. Go cry to the people who actually insulted/rejected you.
