Default Account is hacked- Lack of SOE customer service

Well needless to say, my account got hacked. Problem is, there's NOTHING I can do about it except wait till Monday at 1pm EST to call billing? How ridiculous is that? There's absolutely no recourse for me other than to wait till monday afternoon to have the situation resolved? Here are the steps it tells you to take if your account gets compromised:

1) Through Live Chat at Knowledge Base, if you cannot find the answer through the knowledge base and then click on the "Chat Support" tab to chat live with a Account/Technical Support Representative. The Live Chat is open Monday to Friday, from 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM PST.

2) Through Email Support at Knowledge Base, if you cannot find the answer through the knowledge base then click on the "Email Support" tab to email a Account/Technical Support Representative.

3) Phone support is available Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM PST, except holidays, at 1-858-537-0898.

Option 1 is not available during the weekdays. Option 2 is only available if you have access to your account (which I don't). And Option 3 is only available during the weekdays as well.

Does that mean all the hackers should do their dirty work starting at 7:00 PM PST on Friday's? It seems like an invitation to anybody who wants to do something bad to someones account- Wait till Friday night! Then they can't do SHIT about it. So I'm stuck while everybody gets to watch someone walk around on my character selling off all my gear and emptying my bank accounts? And there's absolutely no way for me to contact SOE or for them to help me, until Monday afternoon? Something has to be done about this, because that's absolutely ridiculous customer support if you expect someone to wait days sometimes in order to get a compromised account corrected.

I think there should be a minimum requirement to post these fucking things now.

So if customer support magically gives you back everything and a new password, tell me again how you will prevent this from repeating?

Reasonable answers are:

I will remove my Norton/Macafee antivirus and get something else (Webroot,AVG,Trend Micro)

I will stop being a fucking moron and downloading strange pop up files.

I will not share account info with anyone, not even my girlfriend who could leave me for some random dude in game and then they get to party with my plat.

I swear to god Judge Judy would have a field day with this shit if she knew more than turning a computer on.


Unless you have a screenshot showing your current or future anti-virus finding this keylogger (not that you even said you had one to begin with) I don't believe it.

I'm not a noob and I didn't share my account information with anybody. I have no idea how this happened to me. One plan I have on making sure this doesn't happen again is to ask SOE to put some type of "freeze" on my account when I get it back, so that none of the information can be changed without my specific permission (I would request they call my phone # if I ever want anything changed on the account.) That way nobody can ever "pretend" to be me and to hack the account again. Surely SOE has some type of security measures in place to make sure this doesn't happen again...but obviously those security measures aren't enough if this person is finding it this easy to hack my accounts. Thanks for the troll btw with no help whatsoever.

P.S.- Maybe the reason you see these threads pop up so often is because SOE is failing their customers on a basic level. They are not helping their customers. Customer support is not available on the weekends, and that creates a HUGE issue, especially when account security has been compromised in instances like this.

Yeah SoE does have things to prevent this from happening. Its called a fucking password and secret question/answer.

This will not prevent what happened from repeating itself.

Your scenario is "some random dude lifted your password outta thin air" and hacked you. That doesn't make sense and if it doesn't make sense, its not true.

Unless the world smartest guesser guessed your login info, you shared it with them or you have a program on your computer that gave it to them.

2 Scenarios:

You change your password and you never get "hacked" again. Only result is you shared info with someone you trusted.

And I wont get hacked. Ever. I do banking/eBay/Paypal/Warcraft/Online shopping and everything else. Why won't I get hacked? Because any active accounts I have, nobody but me and my dog have passwords for. I don't download suspicious items and have a great Anti-Virus. Do what I do and you to can be hack free. Till then, be somebody's bitch and cry when it happens to you.

Petgroup I dunno what you do for a living but your obviously smarter than these guys CNN.com - Report:*Hacker infiltrated government computers - May 10, 2005. Perhaps you should get a new job? Now I realize they probably have more people gunning for their information but if it can happen to the most secure computers in the world it can certainly fucking happen to you. Now stop thinking everyone is a liar and try posting something constructive or not at all.

Kruhl this happened to me in EQ1 and I had to jump through fucking hoops to get it back but I did get it back. I was in a top guild and decently well known on the server and therefore I guess I was a target. I am guessing as you are relatively well known for better and for worse that something similiar happened or some random keylogger got it. Good luck in getting it back they will help you you just need to be patient and keep digging for the right channels.
