There is a guy on Nagafen that did this: EverQuest II Players

He hasn't played in a while but he is level 47 and hasn't left the island. I remember seeing him when I started an alt... it's pretty funny to see someone that high level out there. His bio is pretty funny too.

I'm sure if played again he could get up a bit higher with the Kunark collections. I also heard that he would kill guards to get xp and he also had another alt that was the same level as the guards so he could mentor and continue to get xp.

It would be quite legendary if you could get a toon to level 80 on one of the starter isles.

I cant see how hes got that level on the isle when they limit your level and make you leave the isle to go past lvl 10.

Unless it was added in the last few months there is not a level cap on the Isle of Refuge. In the old days there was a cap because you had to leave the island to select your subclass and thus continue to level. Since that has been gone for quite a while you could theoretically go to 80 if you could somehow find a source for the XP.

The 180 collections cost me more than 200p, less than 300p (I cant remember how much tbh). I'm still missing about 7-8 "buyable" collections now, including both expert collections. I refuse to outright buy whats left due to cost-vs-reward at this point.

Anyways, to me it was very worth it. With a little effort on my ranger alt I can earn the plat needed for collection leveling MUCH faster than actually leveling.

Btw, I had a conj chain-CoH me to the "training wall" in KJungle. After a few hours of autoattacking with a piercer in one hand, slasher in the other, and I was good enuf to hold my own for solo questing.

Disruption was a pain in the ass tho...

What i find mildly amusing is in the 6th pic (1st pic of the 2nd post) he clearly just joined "Reserves of Second Dawn" - if hes quitting, why bother joining a raid guild reserve guild?

Taucher is one of the most focused people I have ever met in any game - he was first to 80 worldwide. He worshipped Fear in order to get him to pop on Najena - with very little help from anyone else.
