You stick with Norton & McAfee are sufficient products and I'll stick with they keep me in business. Same thing with Verizon. Eliminate those 3 and I'm doing the same shit as you day after day.

Due to this post, I am now going to have a section on my website with before and after Norton/McAfee/Webroot pics (not using a camera ). The big green checkmark saying 0 threats and Webroot finding 15 different things. Thank you for the inspiration. I mean that honestly.

I'd have 100's of them already if you made this kind of impact on me a year ago.

Webroot is based on the Webroot engine. Webroot uses its own engine for Anti-Spyware and uses Sophos for it's Anti-Virus. So your statement is horribly flawed. Google "Sophos Webroot" and educate yourself.

The only product I have linked throughout this entire thread is Webroot Anti-Virus with Anti-Spyware. I'm not typing it the whole way out everytime.

Like I said, by him saying Webroot will miss it because Sophos did is incorrect. If you want to be techical, Webroot Spysweeper (the anti-spyware only product) detects and removes some viruses

3 Second Google search and voila. A screenshot of Webroot Spysweeper before they even partnered with Sophos in 2006. Found keyloggers and viruses.

Have yet to see it on anyones computer in the last 3 years (even though they were advertised on the radio for the New England Patriots.) I installed it on mine a couple times and its not that bad of a product. I'd use that or Trend Micro on X64.

ok so pet you got that poor guy taking pix of his pc now his cert and all that so we safley say the guy knows his stuff weather his been in the industry 20 mins or 20 years the fact is he done his exams and is cert to comment on the subject

now from reading between the line bear in mind im not pc guy and only cert i got is windows xp box lol

im guessing wales is saying try few products not just one theres loads free checkers on the market so use them one virus scan might not pick up them all so dont bank on one doing the job for you

now i know you said the same at some point which is cool

but whats has all this achived? no ones any the wiser why these accounts being hacked and people are taken pix of there cert and pcs and all that to prove they are not talking shit

now we got this i got cert so there post done has any one any ideas of how these fckers are hacking the pcs?

if all these virus scans not picking this stuff up whats next ? use your good pc know how to fig that out be more handy than getting people to post there exam results imo

honestl;y i've never needed more than the xp firewall and a linksys router. beyond that, being careful where you go, what you click on, that kind of thing is the best to protect you. i really would reccoment Autoruns by sysinternals, you can download it from microsoft for free. run it and it will show you everything that is runnin at startup or app launch. it might be kinda hard to figure out tho if you arent used to seeing stuff. but if you download it i will try and help you read the results. i usually start by just skimming thru and looking for entries with no publisher. not all are bogus but most bogus ones wont have a publisher. if you want to try it and have questions about specific files i can try to help
