last i herd there was a tonne of it over the easter weekend if you see thread/post on i stopped my account you see a few got haked around then

i know if you get hacked say today it takes 4 days thats 4 working days for soe to get it sorted

but if you get hacked again it can take any time up to 3 weeks from what that thread is saying

why this is still happening i have no idea

I still like reading this thread. Thanks Petgroup for keeping it informative and entertaning. I know a couple people who told me directly they were hacked. Upon my obligatory "Have you given your login info to anyone EVER?" question and got "No." /pause ".... well, maybe, but there is NO way it was that person."

Not saying there isn't possibly something more sinister or creative going on with this last rash of account hacks, but it is definitely the biggest factor. Others having account info or people surfing sites they probably shouldn't have been on anyway is king.

might be mis leading this given your password out thing. i know alot of people have given their passwords to family members. i am not sure if this counts for these hacks? my friend is on a networked pc his wife never got hacked but he did and they both log in and out on both pcs now im not sure if one downloaded something the other didnt, they told me no 3rd party program was ever downloaded only a ui profit reborn i think they said.

but alot of my old guild got hacked over the same easter weekend so was it a breach at soe end? it was on the news that a few big firms had been hacked into im sure soe was one of them.

now giving out your pass words is silly im sure no ones given out their passwords to people they dont trust buying accounts also a no go as you never own the account really.

im sure this thread is about people that havent done either of that, would be pointless to write oh i been hacked btw i gave my info to x,y and z and bought the account.

the only thing i know is soe told my mate via email there were hundreds of accounts that were hacked (i have posted the email somewhere in these posts)

so have all of these people given out their passwords? doubt it

im sure alot of hacks come from doing this and buying pp from a third party and all that stuff

dont think any one will ever know what went on and soe have lost alot of custom over these hacks in the last month

Were the EQ2 servers also taken down for 'network maintenance' without a patch last week? Four hours' estimated duration, extended to five and a half (thanks for canceling raid night :P )? The reports seem to have stopped.
