Fixed IP addresses is not an option - proxies, dynamic ip addressing etc.. makes it infeasible.
If the attack is directed at EQ2 then they can snatch up the key while they log your password - the key has to be stored somewhere on your computer. It will help against generic key loggers, but not a specific one.
Creating a unique identity on a CD/DVD and at registration lock it with the account and thus require the CD/DVD to be present at game time, might be a good option However that will mean that the game can only be distributed via CD/DVD media and not digital download.
