They're probably not in yesterday's patch notes because it's been in the interface for a looong time.

ProfitUI offers links to Allas, Google, and EQ2i for quests and those 3 + EQ2idb and llinks for loot, and has since the new browser window was introduced.

Ah, I'm mistaken. I don't use it myself (I know, I"m lame), someone just sent me that patch notes noting that Alla's was a search option and didn't bother mentioning the rest.

Meh. They definitely have options to search EQ2i. I've clicked it fairly often.

I exclusively use EQ2i for my EQ2 needs. It's easier to navigate and less cluttered than anything else out there. I hate ads and clutter on websites. Having said that however, I prefer that they remain as a non-official SoE site. I'm also of the opinion that fansites shouldn't be in bed with the game developer on an official level.

I would have to agree. Restrictions would bite hard. We actually probably have less contact with SOE staff than most fan-run sites of our size, unless I miss my guess. Other than the occasional offer of beta keys, we don't hear from them directly.

Who cares?

EQ2wikia is probably the most used site for quests, they don't need soe's blessing. Word of mouth is much more powerful than soe recognizing them.
I have never even seen that Fan Resource Center. Ask people in game, they will tell you the best sites....not soe.
