Re: Thoughts on lower level questing and dungeons
Solo Zones:
Level 1-20: TD, or DLW, or GFay (Antonica and CL have a few quests, but they mostly originate in their respective city)
LEvel 20-30+: BB (can also do Nek or TS, but BB has a ton more quests)
30-45ish - Steamfont (also Zek and EL have some nice questlines near the docks, but they quickly turn into heroic quests requiring trips to DFC or RV/RE)
45-60 - SS/PoF (much better than LS/EF/Feerrott, but you will need to hit them too if you have combat xp turned off)
50-60 - Lfay (tons of quests)
60-70 - Loping Plains, KoS (TT has a ton of repeatables that get boring, Bonemire has an ok number of quests, but you have to go find a lot of em, Barren Sky has very few quests... good luck getting more than maybe 1 or 2 levels if you are lucky)
68-80 - RoK (solo questers' wet dream, but as others have stated, don't start before 68 or 70 of you will run out of content and HAVE to grind.. my assassin started in KP at 68 and he's 75 now, and only about halfway through KJ quests, plus skipping some of the more annoying bellywhumper quests in Fens and the heroic KC quests in KP)
I dunno about other servers, but I always see groups advertising for RE and RoV groups in 20-29/30-39 channels, and DFC groups for 40-49 channels. I played a templar in the beginning, so soloing is a SERIOUS pain the ass, I HAD to find groups to level... I spent so many countless hours grinding in CT and then Clefts, then SoS. Being able to easily solo on my assassin (or my necro or guard) is so much more refreshing.
Even then, I can't solo on them of all of the time, so I take a few group invites at each tier to the RoV/RE/DFC/CT/Clefts/SoS etc etc... and of course RoK instances. If only for the AA and the potential master chests from nameds. But other than the nameds dropping metal, the loot from dungeons does suck.
