Not exactly sure what your point is. I admit, and have previously stated, that I did adorn some extra items after I read the Test notes. My greatest reason for doing that (which I know, because it was MY intent), was to recover the value of my unused powders and fragments. I just had no idea what was going to happen the next day, so I went with the plain language reading of the Test notes.
I did not in my wildest dreams think they were going to give anywhere near the high reimbursements that they gave. What I honestly expected was reimbursements somewhere between fuel cost and about 2 p for each item max. At most, I figured they would compensate based on adept 1 prices plus fuel costs, or for an actual cost between 2 and 2.5 p per adornment. Because T7 treasured item costs were pretty uniform across servers at between 20 and 25 g per item at the time.
I never expected them to compensate based on the highest possible retail price these adornments were sold for during the early days when the first people leveled (I leveled after the first people, btw, and then I flooded the market and brought the retail prices down to about a 1/3 profit margin from a much higher price). You want my opinion? I believe SoE overpaid.
But I had nothing to lose by doing what I did, and just knew that my leftover adornments would have lower HP and stats the next morning than they did the night before. They would be worth less than they were now, and if I didn't get rid of my remaining inventory in powder and fragments, I would lose money.
So I again admit that I used all my leftover supplies, made as many adornments as I could make with them, adorned everything it was possible to adorn that I owned on 3 characters, both in inventory and in my bank, and then put all my leftover adornments on the broker for either 2 or 2.5 p each (I don't remember which at this point).
I figured why leave the remaining ones in my inventory, why not let others have the chance to get in on the action also, at basically a small amount of gold above my cost per item. And you know what? The next morning, there were only 4 adornments left on my broker, people bought upwards of 20 from my broker that night at or near my cost. And everyone who did that and used them got a nerfed adornment back, plus 3.5 or 4.5 p, depending on the item. And then I felt proud I'd been able to benefit others as well as myself.
I never have a problem admitting the facts of what I do in the greatest detail possible. And the reason for that is because I'm not ashamed or embarrased about what I do. And that's because there is nothing to be ashamed or embarrased about when you don't do anything improper.
I need you to admit something also. If I had lost money by doing what I did, instead of making money, you would have never made the post you made, would you? I think that you think it would have been ok for me to do this if I bet wrong and lost money, and it's only a violation of your moral code that I made money. Please comment on that.
