Actually, if the usual board hounds can simmer the fuck down for a second and stop rushing to the aid of LFG, the OP had a point. I remember a few threads on this board with LFG going as far to say he doesn't carry around boxes in his inventory because he sees it as an exploit. You would think someone who goes that far out there, calling THAT an exploit...would keep quiet if he used test patch notes with a "profit" concept in his head on how to work the system.

Personally I don't care at all. I say exploit a game till theres nothing left to exploit. It is high and mighty "i would never.." type people who piss me off, when they throw around an undefinable word like exploit all the time

Dehah, I've never had a problem with you before, which is why I'm somewhat surprised by the intentionally hostile and personal nature of your post. I've always considered myself a good friend to your guild, and maintain friendships with many of your guildmates still today.

Now you've made a very aggressive post against me, and are basically calling me a criminal. You just intentionally made me your enemy, for no purpose except to make me look small, and you look big.

But this history and these things apparently mean nothing to you. So my main response to you now is, go fuck yourself you powertripping asshole. How dare you.

Now that we have the formalities out of the way, allow me to address your charges.

I look at the world in a very black and white way. There is right and wrong, and laws and generally accepted rules of behavior in society strictly defining conduct under almost every situation. I strictly follow those rules, both inside and outside this game.

In this case, SoE posted exactly what was going to happen in plain English. They made a market announcement. In real life, I can and often do legally act on publicly disclosed information as quickly as possible to maximize my wealth. What I did would have been considered perfectly legal, and ethical, under US Securities Laws. And that is the exact standard I used when I acted in this case.

I'll make you a deal, however. If a single solitary employee of SoE comes out and says publicly, anywhere, that they think it was improper for people to have acted as I did in this case, I'll either destroy that 120 plat, or give it to a well known reputable person and have them destroy it, so there is proof it was destroyed.

Because I don't need the plat. It was sport. That's it.

Now, you have called me a hypocrite above and have stated that I'm an exploiter. As you've done in the past, you act as if you are morally pure, and are the proper judge of what is and isn't exploit.

So you wanna play hardball motherfucker? Let's see if you can walk the walk.

This was great...I laughed for a while on this one...yes, it is a game. It is with real life people, some friends, some not. Life goes on, LFG will have more plat than me, it's a fact. Just like you, I see things as right and wrong. I see what you did as wrong. Any prior history you have with the guild I am in or mutual friends has no bearing on whether or not I would think this was right or wrong. The fact that this thread is specifically about you exploiting this, and not just about all people that exploited this is a mere coincidence.

Answer these two straight forward questions for me Ixnay:

Do you think that it was SOE's intention for players to adorn as many items as possible in anticipation of the refund to amass large quantities of wealth ranging from 100p to 1000p virtually over night?

Do you think SOE made a mistake with how they decided who got a refund and how much they got? If yes, did you knowingly take advantage of their mistake?


You're idea of hardball is attacking someone else? I know you are most likely referring to our very hard working non-raiding members who work their butts off to tradeskill for our guild. I personally don't believe your accusations
because I have never seen them crafting AFK before, and I've caught people AFK crafting before.

I'm not posting in this thread to defend myself against personal attacks, I'm posting in this thread because I don't think this sort of behavior should be regarded as right. Just a note though, if you think that I am a hypocrite because I knowingly live with a tradeskill botter in the same guild, then not only will you have to have proof that this person is a tradeskill botter, but you'll also have to have proof that I knew it already. With that said, if you have proof that a member of Club Fu tradeskill bots, I would deffinitely be interested in seeing it. If it is sensitive in nature you can reach me in game, if it isn't feel free to blast it over the forums.

Now, are you going to debate about your exploits (pun intended) or are you going to continue to attempt to shift the focus of this discussion off of you and onto me?
