Re: Burnout - How do you handle it?
This is an interesting topic since I've had this discussion with friends and guild mates over the years.
I have only been playing EQ2 for two years now, playing everyday for at least 2-3 hrs. per day. I have had good days and bad days, and have definitely been frustrated, but I have never felt like I was having any burnout. There is so much to do in this game and sometimes, I play my lower toons since my main is adventure level 80 and I have 140 aa's. I find that I get a great deal of enjoyment out of helping others with their tasks and even mentoring. It is great fun to visit lower zones and re-live the "old" times.
I have also found, as a caster as my main, that I love being a healer. I rolled a fury and can still get my DPS fix, but can also heal. It's a whole different side to things. Roll a new toon of a class with which you have no experience and little or no knowledge and you will have a blast. At a minimum for me, I have a whole new respect for healers. I always took them for granted but now know how hard they work!
