Hard doesn't exist in EQ2. It requires skill to do something that's hard. Current encounters aren't skill based in the least.

You guys have short memory spans re:dmp as well, keep in mind that while it was "available" for a few months, the fixes that made it killable only went in like 3.5 weeks before KoS came out. Not to downplay it's difficulty because it was a beast of a fight but had it been fixed for a few months I think a few more guilds at least would have killed it.

Yeah Arirang was a kick ass raid guild. They gave NPU some competition in T5 on Guk but NPU was just too anally hardcore (I think Torment had like 100% raid attendance in T5 for a couple months or something. Which is borderline insane). Then they moved to Everfrost and became a top guild gamewide.

Yeah. At the time, my guild was the top guild on the server, but once Arirang moved over and started killing everything on Everfrost, my guild pretty much fell apart.

I think you need at least one raid that's "omgwtfbbqijustshitmyself" hard, if for no other reason than to give the hardcore guilds something to do for the expansion as a goal. Finishing everything within a few weeks then farming for 11 months is lame.

Niber remember that one time in DOF, the fun we had with Amend when they didnt want to give us a few pulls on Terrorantula. Heck you were playing Grimmell or how ever u spell it back then. Man it was fun seeing Crac get so dam pissed hehe the good old days.

I was in the Amend raid when we yelled it at around 10 percent to reset it, and you all zerged in and killed it just so nobody would get the loot from it. Is still one of the gayest things I've ever seen in EQ2 tbh.

Nobody was depriving you of pulls on the mob lol. You guys wanted us to give you time to practice and catch up. Contested don't work that way.

lol onyx tried something like that on phh just to end the long nights of fighting (not really fighting, mostly kraken sitting in immunity and running in when we pulled) over phh. we yelled and had our outside raid attack but because of the way exile pvp works or something the outside raid was assisting phh by targeting him and killed the mt =(

Your right, they don't work that way but you guys had already gotten Terrorantula in the first SS1 zone, didn't see why you couldn't give us a few pulls on Terrorantula in SS2. Either way I looked at it this way, some of your guildies in Amends constently talked allot of shit to peps on the server, not to say the whole guild was full of A'holes cause some of my buddies were in there but I think at the time of the incedent we looked at it this way, it was like fuck it, deny them, one way or another.

Was it gay and childish, yea but we all have our childish moments here and there.

I think there should be at least 1 ultra rare almost impossible to kill mob that drops amazing loot. Like idk... some x4 contested dungeon (that doesn't suck) and have some huge insanely rare virtually unkillable boss that has like a chance to pop between 20-30 days or something... and takes like 4 hours of combat to kill and an amazing strat.

Then, if you heard of the whole community trying to share ideas and develop some kind of strat, then someone finally kills it... it would be pretty sweet, and of course there would be no better bragging rights.

I can't see this ever happening in EQ2 tbh, but FFXI has a mob sorta like this called Absolute Virtue. I think it was finally killed over a year after the mob was put in by some Japanes guild that finally figured out the strat and fought it for something like 8 hours swapping people in and out from a huge pool of players. Dunno if it's been killed since then since I don't really give 2 shits about FFXI anymore.
