I think the target audience for selling mythicals isn't for someone like you or anyone in your guild. It's for the little guy in the small family guild or friends guild. People that may or may not even raid but think it'd be cool to have it. Alot of people that play casual like that have tons of plat and nothing to spend it on so why not.

People in serious or even semi serious guilds aren't going to be interested. Because they have a shot at doing it on their own, and gratz to those that do.

Didn't we already have devs giving out goodies for head? I suggest you go for the SOE-run uberguilds for the best bang for your buck.

Well, I think it's for anybody with a shit ton of plat and somebody who just cannot commit to joining a raid guild.

i don't understand paying that amount for it, but to each their own

TOD has not sold updates for mythicals, we do have tons of alts who have been getting updates as of late.

I'm actually surprised at the relatively low price...

in t8 where good masters cost several hundred plat each 1k plat isnt that much.

It's only 700 if you're paying attention. Which is a pretty damn good. If I was in a sub-par guild I would consider 400pp for the VP update. That's only a couple months of Protectors Realm farming.

Thats about 10 masters on most servers(averaging all costs from those that cost much more and those much less).

What will help you more?

Those ten masters or the best possible mainhand you could ever possibly get in this game?

Don't be silly, next expansion you just know some solo quest is going to award better weapons than the epics.

Regardless, it's inevitable that somewhere down the line the mobs required for the epic quest are going to get nerfed to all hell so pickup raids can get theirs. For even the worst of players it's really just a choice between 1k plat for your epic now, or free in a few months. But if idiots want to blow boatloads of plat that would be better spent selling it for real money, then by all means they should.
