That means Defiance goes back to ALL the separate tiers, flags the individual, THEN they provide further updates that are needed. I happen to know that if you are VP flagged already that price is negotiable.

It also involves individual's personal circumstances. I like the guild I am currently in and we were doing very well and in VP until about 6 weeks ago. Suddenly our officers decided to all join Cataclysm and, without any prior notice, quit the guild in one day. Half of the guild followed them out the door. The other half wasn't prepared to give up.

We've spent a lot of time recruiting and are now gearing up a new MT and members, but, have already beat OK and working toward VP again. Yeah, yeah, most of you are going to go waaahhh *sob story*. It doesn't matter; you weren't there. Many of our members were within an update or two and it was crushing.

When I spoke to Defiance I didn't quite have the plat; but, I worked day and nite during all my free time and managed to wrangle the amount needed and was tickled to death when the announcement went out that Meerah had her mythical. I really don't care what anyone thinks about it. I made the plat MYSELF; I did not involve plat companies and I had 85% of my mythical done. All I needed was VS and phara dar. Obtaining my mythical was not work free: I had to do all the factions; obtain my fabled; had VP flag done; earn the plat. That is hardly what I call getting it 'handed' to me. Especially when our guild has never done any guild splits; as most raiding guilds do. Our officers left with 6 months of bank that never got split in their pockets.

Call me impatient, but I was at the doorstep and the door got slammed in my face. I stayed with my guild to re-build. I know that we will be in VP again soon enough, but, not before GU 44 went in and with the mythical I can feel like a 'real' ranger again for a while. *Even if Aeralik is screwing us with this update.. which is yet to be seen*.

I think if you asked people that have chosen this method for obtaining their mythicals you'll find there are a lot of different stories. I really don't care if I got tells saying "gratz, but I think it's lame you bought it". I have mine now. TY Defiance for providing an avenue for some of us that are thisssss close, but not quite. It's appreciated.

Don't give me this shit... its so fucking easy to make plat in this expansion don't you even think the guilds that worked their asses off to get to VP don't feel a bit of distaste for people buying their mythical? Yay your raiding guild sucks now you need to buy a mythical to clear content you fucking piece of shit... I am not adamant about Defiance offering but to raid guilds? Fuck you! .. learn to raid you fuckers and earn your mythical (STFU and raid pussies)... just because you have retards during VS means you need to buy your mythical is fucking pathetic. Casual players.. ok.. soloers ... ok.. raiders who want an upper advantage fuck yourselves and actualy work for it cocksuckers like the rest of the raiders. Its something worth working toward and gives purpose to this lame ass expansion but if assholes want it to be handed to them in "Raiding guilds" you need to rethink your motd's to "We are the dicklickers who do PR till we have enough plat to buy your mythical - apply within". People who do, give their "raiding guild" a bad name. Once again.. soloers and duoers more power to you if you can afford it.

4 Day a week guild catchin up with 6 day a week hardcore guiild that was going to own Defiance contested..?? Who has shown? I saw House of the Rising Penis and I saw Defiance so far on Contested... But its been GoW more than anything. get those phone bills up yet?

Dang Permanent your angry lately. I dunno why ya got a beef with Meerah, why not everyone else? Why is it ok for 1 person to pay for theirs and not another? Blood Seige is a shadow of its former self. Kinda sucks about it but prolly gonna be another couple months before they are back in VP trying to work on it again. With that in mind, if you had the plat and you didn't want to wait for SOE to fuck the game up further why not go ahead and get it now instead of trusting in SOE?

I dunno, I just don't see the big deal about it. People seem to have these vaulted ideals about the game that just don't exist anymore. This expansion is a joke plain and simple and if you do get fed up with it, you can always go to the bazaar and sell your toon, however you can't take your plat with you, BUT a Mythical on your toon will pump up the price on it so you can at least try to get something out of it. Hell the only guild on permafrost with their epics is Defiance, Cataclysm has only killed Druushk and still working on Nexona. Many other servers are very similar. Alot of em only have 1 or 2 guilds that can do VP and finish it and even fewer who can kill Trakanon.

I just don't get how it cheapens what is already worthless. Alot of people are almost fed up with getting screwed by SOE, yeah there are still gonna be several people who continue to resub and play but they aren't gonna wanna spend the hours and hours in the game that they used to. Most everyone has got everything they would ever want from instances by now and since Sebilis and Chardok offer no real upgrades compared to instances there is no real desire to go there. So ya got people who are sitting stagnant who either raid casually or not at all being bored out of their skull and farming plat to kill time. People make it sound like EQ2 has the standards and morals it used to have, which is clearly not the case. No one really cares about any ww1st honestly, cause it just doesn't matter anymore, cause the sense of pride and accomplishment doesn't exist due to SOE's blundering.

Anyway back on topic, I will be sad if any Inquisitor pays us 1000pp for their mythical to make their toon better. I would help em get it of course if they really wanted it but dang I wouldn't want to be there when the weight of the dissappointment lands in their lap and realize they woulda been better off without it.

I would personally never purchase a mythical update. If I wanted it that bad then I'd raid and get it on whatever toon if I wasn't in a raiding guild already. The epic weapons are meant for those who put the time in to get them, endure the rediculous lag and stupid encounters, die over and over, and receive their weapons. That being sad I wouldn't personally sell a mythical update either. My guild's time is worth way more than any amount of meaningless plat some random noob could give me. My 2cp.

I am just laugh at the folks who still think raiding in EQ2 takes skill. Its not fucking hard. These days its more annoying but still goes to show the average players really do suck. Its not that raid guilds are so much better than everyone else. Its everyone else has the reflexes of a 3 year old and the attention span of a gnat.

Learn to play and you to can get your mythicals without having to pay real life money and plat to other players who can actually press their buttons in the right sequence and pay attention.

Nope...same as me wanting to buy a praetor guard or a ranger wanting to buy a RSB or any looting rights.......its not a fucking big deal.

Why all the hate perma? We don't do dkp and allow everyone thats wants to raid to do so, many times a lot of our better raiders sat out to let our not so usual raiders go. We've allowed several people to see content and get items that normally they would not see. So if a couple of ppl who play more often wanna farm blue shinies for a couple of hours, get their mythical, and continue to help their guild progress, that is awesome.

Seeing as most raiding guilds capable of getting Mythical updates are recruiting, and there's a huge shortage of players to recruit, I don't see why people who want their mythical updates don't just join a raiding guild. If they fail trial fair enough - but they probably cleared VP during their trial.

It's shady but I don't doubt for a second it goes on already.

They are? Most are only recruiting 1 or 2 classes, though. We aren't recruiting at all.

Yeah, cuz everyone can just snap their fingers and get into a VP clearing guild.

There aren't that many VP clearing guilds atm anyway.
Among that group, guilds are folding every day due to boredom and soe's continual cavalcade of asshattery.
AoC is gonna take even more people soon, many of which won't return.
Some of us are in classes that are simply NOT recruited, let alone tolerated unless you're fucking the GL or some shit.
Many of these classes end up in open-invite raid guilds that are basically perma-cock blocked due to inability to keep NECESSARY classes.

End game is fail. Endgame will be fail+tumbleweeds after AoC comes out, not due to AoC exclusively, but due to SoE basically fucking PUSHING people out the door into Funcom's welcoming arms.

Buy that fucking mythical now if you really want it p
