Pretty straightforward to me, either you are good enough to get your mythical or rich enough to buy it. I could see how people falling out of these two categories would be upset....but posts about people "losing respect" for individuals involved is pretty funny IMO.

I find the zone itself - mobs, to be visually a good design. It might not be the most practical of places but it gives you a true sense of the enormity of the task at hand. The zone is massive and yeah annoying at times but the actual layout and art of the zone is impressive to me. Turning up the graphics in the zone after all the mobs are cleared out and just exploring shows how much work they put into it. I like the zone itself, would be nice if it had some sokokar posts in it but thats for another thread.

Gotta agree VP as a zone is very cool. I always like to see raid zones that arnt copy n pasted versions of the heroic dungeons of their tier (KoS anyone?). Its a shame tho they put more time into designing the zone then the actual encounters within the zone.

On a side note our top sell was a lot more then 1k plat for a mythical update.....and iv even heard of real money offers (very high offers...like...decent computer in value high). I dun see the issue with it anymore, people who say they are loosing respect for doing it are the people who either A) cant afford it, or B) cant reap the benefits of the 5k+ guild splits.

It's not so much losing respect for the person as it is losing respect for the Mythical. If every Joe GMworker.com is running around with there Mythical weapon than it takes alot away from people who racked up all that exp debt and sleepness nights grinding VS until they got the encounter down ect.

I look at the Mythical as a badge of honor somewhat and look at those who buy them like people who buy a brand new game and then search online for cheat codes before they even install it.

I guess if you feel it's a good move as a guild to sell Mythicals than why not? I just find it hard to believe it's worth any plat at this point to cheapen your accomplishments.

Maybe this should be a wakeup call to SoE devs that Master I drops in raids zones should be increased. If all your high end raid guilds have to resort to whoring themselvs out to buy them there is def something wrong.

I'd rather just buy the spell from a vendor and be done with it, like they do in just about every other RPG.

Actually, raid mobs need to not only drop more masters, but ones from the lower part of the tier as well. Kind of sucks only being able to get the level 80 abilities via raids and having to obtain the others from other methods.

The thing is who really does this? I have yet to met a single person in game (and Ive played since beta) who would notice someone standing in the harbor posing as anything more than a joke.

Do I want my mythical? yes. Do I give a flying fuck that you have yours? no.

and tbh when In ready to move on to another game, I wont give a shit about anything EQ2 related anymore. When I left SWG I just quit, if you are moving on why should you care about what you left undone in a game you no longer care about? Id be more interested in the game I was moving to, rather than the one I was moving from.

I'm a regular player - ie more than 20+ hrs a week in EQ - but I've developed migrane problems that make my playtime varied and random, so I don't like tot ie myself down to a raid at any given x time. I've got my fabled epics on my primary toons, and if I was given the option of being able to write a website, pay plat, or whatever else have you to get my mythical update, I'd strongly consider doing it. I would offer somthing to the degree that would make my time and investment worth their time and investment, but getting the update through a method other than straight raiding doesn't seem that illogical to me. It may not be 'intended' but...

It's somewhat of a tongue in cheek joke about people who go AFK in QH/EF. That, or they're just standing around in QH/EF and chatting in 70-79 channel due to lack of anything better to do in the game. I know I never pause to stop and check these people out, and if they think that the 99.9% of the population DOES ooh and ahh over their gear, then they are mistaken.

Yeah, I'd like my mythical, but I'm not grinding my teeth to get it. If I get it, cool, if not that's fine. The past eight months have been the first time I've been in a guild that actually DID something end game before the next expansion came out. I'm more concerned about my guild being able to stay together and get enough folks online to fill up all 24 slots with the right mix of classes so we can get back to progressing our way back into VP with our new members.

Depending on how things fall into place come ~May 20th, we'll see where people are at in EQ2land. I like my toon and I like my friends and guildies that I play with on a daily basis. Those are the things that I'll miss if things fall apart because people just wandered away.

If people are willing to pay 1000pp for a Mythical, and a guild is willing to oblige them, more power to them. I can't speak for other servers, but I would bet on Mistmoore there are fewer characters with 1000pp than there are people with mythicals.

I can't believe anyone would actually care, but, I guess some people would.
