Mythicals for sale?

I known since time of EQ1 ,WoW and of course EQ2 that people have bought looting rights in real cash,ingame money or person favours for raid loot.

But recently has anyone noticed quite a few people who you know have no friends in top raid guilds or unguilded running around with mythicals?

I happen to know one such person and the way he explained he got it sounded more or less like an attempt at a weak joke.

So are some guilds cashing in on people's desire for epics?

Defiance on Permafrost sells mythical updates for 1000p.

Used to be a respected guild but they have become real asshats since their leadership changed.

Shame, they definitely have some of the highest caliber players on our server.

ive heard of at least one instance of someone transfering to a server getting mythical and then leaving and paying the guild plat or something idk too much details as its not the guild ive been in

Maybe they are the alts of people in the top raiding guilds? I remember back in T7, some of the alts of people in my guild had their claymores even before most guilds had access to Deathtoll.

I expected it to happen since epics were announce. People been selling loot rights since what ? DoF ? Once a guild have all their members Mythicaled, they might as well cash in the epics drop. EQ2 is a capitalism economy after all :P

Yep i have heard people offering guilds up to 1k plat to get thier mythical updates.

and truth be told I am not really surprised by it heh.

It's true on Permafrost, had several happy "customers" so far. People claim it to be wrong but 10k guild splits don't seem wrong to me for some reason. I don't get why people are pissed at having an option of Vp flag and their mythical. You would think people would be more pissed that there isn't that option. Hell 95% of a server will never witness the coolness of VP and see the zone themselves. Yeah the price is high but when master spells are going for 100pp+ what do people expect?

People want to get "the last big shiny" before they quit the game to go to other games that are going to be released soon. For 600-1000p, you can empty your horded piles of plat, stand in QH/EF and pose with your mythical, while 99.9% of the server can ooh and aww over your pixels.

The extra cash generated by the folks offering the service of you getting your mythical will turn around and drop their extra plats on the 125p master spells that they currently do not have in their spell books.

When AoC comes out, will there really be anyone still standing in QH/EF with their mythicals, or will these top end raiders be running around in a new game with a few coppers in their pockets and stabbing their way to the next level with a rusty dagger?
