There are some horrible population servers in WoW, like they make EQ2's least populated server look insanely populated.

Really? The only thing that ever felt insanely populated was Q Docks, but that was because it used to lag as soon as there was more than 10 people in there.

Compared to what? If the populace for any given server is 2k, and their measurement for medium server load is 1.5k-1.9k, that doesn't make the server full of a buttload of people. What if the server can hold 20k people?

I just feel for those casual raid guilds. I can think of acouple here on befallen, up to RoK they did their own thing at their own pace, but due to Tier setup, they really are struggling for whatever reason to get people to run T1-T2 b/c they can't get past Overking, VS, CoD, or whatever is preventing them.

The raiding community on befallen is sorta becoming consolidated. Take that that as you will, I personally like diversity and its sad to see these guilds struggling.

For the most part in T5 my guild dominated with 1 guild close behind us. But during those days if we weren't on our game on contested, we could see upward of 5 raid guilds attempting to form up for a mob. I miss, although couldn't handle anymore, the days of logging in at noon to kill Vox - out of nessecity to not have to deal with the other guilds during raid hours.

I dunno, just thinking outloud. I DON'T WANT A SERVER MERGE (everyone remembers what it was like to pull hurricanus those first few days after the first merge...*blows his brains out*

Server mergers were a week before KoS release...

The servers were still plenty laggy quite a ways into KOS.
