Just on a technical note, I was using Vista Ultimate 64-bit with 3 8800ultras but the performance was just ass so i dropped back to 2 in XP and it out Performs Vista + tri-sli by 10-15fps.

I have also used two 9800GX2's in Sli and there is little or no comparison in Everquest 2 performance compared to the ultras.

If you need any other performance specs just let me know.

I'd agree. Theres no way someone with max settings is getting Eq2 running at 100fps. You could be alone in the Draftling Tower and still get shitty rates. Not even computers at SoE would get that. I also can't believe with that big $ setup you get 15fps occasionally, fucking Sony and there shitty coding.

I get a permanent 60fps on WoW with my setup, if I turned off the sync refresh with my monitor, I hit over 100 with max everything but has occasional tearing. I did a 25man raid last night and had 0 lag and my usual 60fps. Hard to believe you can pay a fee a month and enjoy servers that aren't pieces of shit.

EQ2 needs a serous overhaul because the average rates from this thread is utter shit yet the hardware people are posting is above and beyond the recommended stats. sad thing is they could come out with 28 core processors and SoE would still be pumping out single core bullshit. Good call.

I raid in balanced with particles at lowest possible..Fetish Nightfall does not have the FPS meter but I dont lag at all...I am guessing 60-70 fps average

imo it's bullshit when ppl say they have 60+ fps on raids especially on very high resolutions and even with some laggy shit like shadows or particles.

Tho I dont raid in balanced, I have my own graphics setup for raids (max textures, minimum particles, medium details, no shadows, no cloaks or other shitty animation, minimum water). On average in raids my fps jumps from ~15 to 30.

Gah srry was tired when I worte that, I mean't to say Anywhere from 15fps-100fps ingame, but on average it hovers around 40fps. In raids it drops to around 25fps on average. Can post pics once I get home if you want me too.

the 100fps happens in Inn rooms and empty zones. Also my Fps depends on where i am standing too. if im up close to the mob it drops heavily down, and if im way back max range it decent.

Srry again about that miss type....

I raid in HQ with particles turned off, gets me 15 - 30 fps typically. Looking over the comments here I might try turning some particles on and turning a few other things off.

Oh and in EoF I was raiding with much higher settings, even in EH, and getting similar or better performance. Thank you RoK.

I get 60-75FPS through Qeynos Harbor and 60-70 fps in raids. Peaked once at 82fps for 5 minutes in a raid.
