There shouldn't be any difference. Though, there may well be a problem with the physics in the game.
I mean, Q3 had the amazing 125fps = best FPS to give you the most jumping/speed capability. So who knows if there isn't a problem with the engine in such a similar manner.

Re: Do you raid in Balanced mode or higher?
To me, the big question is, what is a good framerate. someone already said 20-25, and I think i usually get that. Problem is, I only ever look at that window when I'm siting around waiting for someone. I raid in either balanced, or high quality, but I have a few custom tweaks to turn off crap i don't need or like.
What sorta ping are you guys getting? What would you consider a good ping?
BTW, thanks to whoever gave the tip about how to increase your max camera distance. That kicks ass. Anyone know what the default max camera distance is? Or the max max camera distance?

My ping is usually 150-175ish.
Is there a tool to determine how much total memory is allocated on a video card?

Not that I am aware of, though it can't be much since almost everything in eq2 is handled by the CPU...

Re: Do you raid in Balanced mode or higher?
CPU just means how it's processed, the data itself is a separate thing.

AMO.NET America's Multimedia Online (Human Eye Frames Per Second)
People please do some real research before most of you look like fools trying to look smart. Honestly for myself, I can clearly tell the difference between 80 and 100+ fps. Tho until graphics are considerably upgraded as far as image quality goes, more than 120 fps in my book is wasted, for me at that point the computer image look like glass and eye strain is considerably less than it is at say 60 fps where I get headaches after playing for extended periods of time.
At the same time I understand people saying that all you need for a game like this is 30 fps which from a useful amount of information based on game ping lag alone does suffice. That being said, it means nothing when it comes to making the game seem real when you moving about and dealing with eye strain.
A lot of people who have ever played twitch style first person shooters competitively understand there is a big difference between 60 and 80, even 80 and 120. Sure 25 fps may be fine for you, but don't go saying that there isn't a REAL difference for others at higher fps.

Re: Do you raid in Balanced mode or higher?
A year ago when I was still raiding, I did so in balanced, with particles turned off, since I hated em anyways... I played the entire game in balanced, with particles and flora turned off.

The difference between 30 and 60fps is like night and day. For me anyways. Playing WoW on my Macbook is not fun

Re: Do you raid in Balanced mode or higher?
For the record, it's impossible to display higher fps than the monitor refresh rate. I don't think everyone knows this.
