Tashiana currently is 4571 mental damage debuff, with a duration of 13 seconds and a recast of 1 minute. While this is better than Blood Rake in amount (2503) the duration is much less (72 seconds). And in amount it's not better than Dispatched (5007), while its duration is the same, unless you have the VP set bonus.

This assumes no change to the amount of the debuff, which is likely given the overall increase to this aa.

For the time being my accounts are staying in the shitcan. I canceled after LU42 because of my disdain for the Coercer class, which I had embraced since starting the game. So, it looks like the devs have completed the class tweaking cycle that started with the first patch. Since we are the last neglected, unbalanced, ill thoughout, untested class to be buffed and balanced, they can start back on whatever got love in the first patch. Coercers have a nerf to buff ratio of like 45:1 now. Now the 4 year wait for the cycle to get back to us starts. Don't hold your breath on this guys. SoE has demonstrated time and again their lack of resources devoted to testing and long term development of class mechanics. The do things on a whim and just ban people from the official forums as they complain about them. Coercers suck no matter what spin you put on them. I am sure LU46 will be chock full of charmed pet nerfs and other things. Fuck this game and fuck the devs and fuck SoE. And yes I am still mad although I haven't played the game in 2 months.

Sorry for caps but they are needed. Fed up to death of people comparing the two games when everquest 2.

Anyway back on topic whooo!! This might make the class more enjoyably for people again! Hoe to see more coercers running about instead of Illusionists Well, its about time they attempted to fix the most lore gripping class of them all imo, way more important then the ranger hehe

Duh...

But the buff that bears its namesake and lore, now does what it did. I didnt suggest it he did. And brigs will still have more DPS than coercers so idk what the issue is. You have very good DPS and phenominal utility. Its about time they gave some utility to a "utility" class no?

It might be too much to have hostage, spell scourge(t8 version) and cataclysmic all be reactive like Illusionist's prismatic, but all in all these changes are really good.

Dpsing is going to be kinda boring at 100% power though :\

Although i have recently changed my main to a warlock, my coercer is still my favorite class to play despite the fact that we are more gimp than a man with no legs...

i really hope that these changes make coercers good and above subpar once again.. mabye then ill dust off his robes and make him my main again.

it is about time that we get a look at.

each class however has had its ups and downs. hell i remember when illusionists were the absolute worse class in the game and noone wanted to play one.

thats what im talking if I didnt want it i had rolled another caster
but exactly Volatile Magic in its current form made me want to play the class as an alt

its not rocket science but it was a fun part to watch the power instead of just button smashing what it will be now

So Aeralik fucks up his job by giving out raid strats and screws over eq2flames and his punishment is redoing the least played class in the game. Seems fair to me

I know that some classes have abilities that drain quite a bit of power, but have been hesitant to use these abilities because power regen for longish fights couldn't keep up with the power drain.

Maybe with fewer enchanters / coercers afraid to use mana flow / channel, other classes will start to play a little differently too. It isn't just about floating power down - it is about the impact on overall dynamic.

I don't envy these guys having to balance things like this.

ROFLMFAO......thanks for the laughs this morning Pet...

Playing my new baby coercer I'm interested in some of the changes that are being made to this class...will be interesting when I reach tier 8 to see exactly how some of this stuff works...
