usually about 24 hours but it depends on the subject...some get answered more quickly than others. I think it also depends on the queue they have ....mostly with my petitions it's been hit or miss...ususally I get an email reply and in game response within one business day /shrug

Enter through the narrow gate, for the gate is wide and the road broad that leads to destruction, and those who enter through it are many. How narrow the gate and constricted the road that leads to life. And those who find it are few.

I've had most petitions answered within 24 hours. It seems that sometimes they review them almost immediately and then prioritize them. I've had GMs show up right away (15-30minutes later) while on raids to get that chest up in the wall and sometimes they don't respond for a couple of days. Most of the exploit/hacker petitions I have done for botters/speed hackers are closed within a few hours (and the exploiters banned). I think it all depends on what their priority level is set at.

I fucked up and looted a NO TRADE item a guildie wanted. I petitioned (the interface is fucking awful) and the item was transferred in less than 12 hours.

I have a moving crate in my house full of items from an alt I asked them to help me with in September. I get lots of emails when I bring it up via petition, usually in a matter of hours, but as of yet, its still sitting in my house eating up real estate.
I learned something about SOEs petition system. If they say "We are escalating this to a Senior GM" it means "Fuck off". /trashcan

Shortly after the change to the way one moves in EQ2 I tried to move and somehow borked it. I wasn't completly aware of all the changes and maneged to loose all the stuff I had aquired in two and a half years of playing on not only the toon that owned the apt., but also many of my alts stuff as well.

I petitioned and did not recieve an email until a week later. A GM got ahold of me in game and said that due to the fact that so much time had elapsed that there is no way they could roll back my toon. I explained to him that had a week not gone by before you responded I would have been able to get my stuff back and it wasn't my fault that you were slow to respond to my petition.

I was then told that if I email a list of all the items lost as an attachmet to my petition I could get some of it back. Not all, SOME. I would not get back any items I bought, crafted, or status items from city merchants.

I responded that because you guys changed the moving mechanic I was going to have to be out about 50% of my items on my toon and alts as well, and the only way I was going to even see any of my stuff was to spend hours upon hours going through every quest I ever completed to find out if it resulted in a house item on my toon and my alts.

There was no real response other than is there anything else I can help you with, at which time I said that if this is the best you can do I really feel sorry for anybody that attempts to change housing.

As a side note I still haven't bothered to try and get my stuff back but the very next patch fixed the issue I had and they annouced the fact that they changed it do to player issues.

In the last month we have filed a few petitions, with the warpers we heard from someone within hours, for quest stuff it was within 24 hours.

Today a GM contacted me about a petition I filed last night, so it was maybe 12 hours between filing and response.

GM Ormeld went through the problem with me and I saw how it was my mistake and it was all good, then she fixed my GB2 quest since it was still asking for 12 adamantine instead of just the one that is required now, then she even deleted a hallmark quest that was ages old and I had no interest in ever completing (D'Morte).

GM Ormeld was absolutely wonderful and she was kind and friendly, unlike my past experiences with GM's.

About 24 hours.
I remember hearing on teh soe podcast that their petition system prioritises petitions and puts them in a queue for their cs reps. The cs reps cover all games, so they arent specific to one game.
