Not all of us aspire to be pro level gamers in a game you cant be pro at. No all of us hang out with a bunch of other dudes WHO WE NEVER MET IN REAL LIFE, and raid content THAT DOESNT REALLY EXIST, in a DIGITAL WORLD thats NOT REAL, WITH FAKE CARTOON AVATARS THAT WE DONT OWN, and think it makes us better than others IN REAL LIFE. Some people remember its just a VIDEO GAME, and want to have casual fun at it without investing/revolving our entire lives around it. Some of us just want a few cool items to sport without the enormous time investment that it takes to be a "pro level" (lol) raider in EQ2. You still got your precious Trakanon, and you still get to wear loots noone else does. You still get to go afk in EFP in attack mode, and pretend like you just "accidently" left your character logged in, in attack mode, while you were shopping on the broker, while alt+tabbing to other web sites.
I know when you hear things like, concert, out dinner and going outside it makes your vagina nut up like a butthole during a first time penetration, but some people who dont live for EQ2 do that sort of thing when they dont have some 21 year old kid on the other side of the country screaming at us over vent cause we have not maintained our 80% raid attendance requirements. "OMFG asshole, EQ2 more! Dont you want to be the best at this?"
Frankly no.
Its the equivalant of being the best at watching TV, or reading novels. Its entertainment, and Im sorry if your idea of entertainment is stroking your e-cock and feeling better than others. Most of us dont have to bother with getting our cocks off over a video game though, we have real endeavours to work on, and do this 1-2 nights a week like it was supposed to be done: Like a D&D session with a built in calculator, nothing more.
Do you realize how it all even sounds? Would you dare have this argument on Saturday night at the bar while talking with the 3 people you just met? Fuck no, they would think your insane, and for the rest of your evening youd get sideways stares, and mumbles, because you where obviously "that dude" at the club. (Oops, another blatent reference to the outside world, I know how that upsets you muffin, but do try to follow along, theres a point at the end.)
This is something 98% of the paying subscriber base do for recreation, not like its a full time job that quantifies thier existance and proves to the world that they can be good at something. YOU are the 2% minority, the super hardcore raider, Mr. I Cleared VP and all I got was this digital T-Shirt. When you QQ about people who cant kill VS clearing 3 trash mobs at the zone in of a raid zone you feel like you should "own" exclusivly, you come off like a fucking child. This game DOESNT MEAN SHIT TO ANYONE OUTSIDE OF EQ2s message boards. Noone knows what it even is, let alone how important and life encompassing youve discovered it to be.
Try this for me: This Friday night, go down to your closest bar, buy some random bar whore a round of drinks, and then say " So um, I got a lvl 80 XXXXXXX, and we WW1st shit nightly!" So how much ass that gets you. When they stare back at you blankly, and sort of confused, maybe then youll understand this VIDEO GAMEs place in life, and why people who dont live to play it like a junkie waiting for thier next e-fix dont care if your a ll butt heart cause the tag on thier item says fabled, and you dont feel like they deserve it, or the fact that your precious progression doesnt feel meaningfull.
Youll understand why most of us are just like "Hey there goes one of them uber raider dudes, what a douchebag."

Ah... thats the way you "dont give a fuck about game"..... you are the most retarded person I`ve ever met.

You're capable of getting those items and more, so it's not like someone is logging in for 5 minutes and getting items that you can't get when you put in hours and hours.

I remember back when playing EQ1 there were still a couple items out of VT that some wanted even when we were farming elementals. This sort of thing is neither out of the ordinary nor is it improper. A nice item or two can come from crafting or from soloing or from grouping, and it won't change the fact that the vast, vast majority of high power items are from raiding. Just like having a nice item coming from tier 1 or tier 2 doesn't mean that tier 3+ is broken.

Shut the fuck up with your bullshit argument that raiders don't like you because you can't put in the time. You have admitted that you are willing to play any time of any day as long as you're not required to do any actual playing, and just videotape shit. You aren't special, you're willing to put in the time, but you just suck.
A similar situation would be if you're in the special ed class at your school, and the way you've been acting, you pretend like you've got a mental defect or some shit that makes you stupid, when in reality you have all the same tools as a successful person in a regular class, but you're just too dumb to figure it out.

Try going into an accounting firm and start talking about molecular biology, see how many people know what the fuck you're talking about. Go to a chess club and start talking about European football teams. It's useless to try and apply that analogy as though its singularly descriptive of how useless you think being dedicated to a game is.
If your point is that since some group of people, somewhere on the planet don't know what it is that you're doing with your free time, and don't care what you're doing, that means what you're doing doesn't matter, and you're an idiot for pursuing that activity. Which means that every single thing you do in your life is useless according to your theory, so you should just go kill yourself. I'll even pay to watch that.

I think there are more than enough good items that come from solo and group content...

Yes, I know what your "point" is. Your point is you're distraught at the thought that someone might get something too easily. You'll be fine though, I promise.

And there are huge loads of high powered items that come from raiding. It looks balanced to anyone not stuck in the mire of worrying about "they got an item too easily" or "this level 4 raid zone dropped a ring not as good as the one from this level 2 raid zone".

How it is balanced?

You couldn't make the connection between the subject and the analogy. That's not me spinning things, that's you being more stupid than ever.
