I have no issue with some of the nice loot that was dropping rarely out of group zones.

Itemization was a bitch until they upgraded Trak's loot and VP's loot. The only beef I had was with the Shard of Hate drops and the consistentsy of such drops. Now they seemed to have nerfed the consistentsy of such drops off trash, which is a good thing. And they made Master P'Tasa and the 5 Trolls more difficult.

Now it doesn't bother me as much anymore. Given that Druushk and Nexona will remain MASSIVE blocks for 90% of guilds, SoH does seem to be a chance for some raiders to get some decent gear.

I don't have an issue with that anymore, after the changes that were made.

I was in Drow, not as an app, as a member. When they left the game, I was like , wow, thank god thats over, Im never doing that shit again, thats just crazy! Yay! I got my life back.

Then I apped Revelations in a spurt of nostalgia, and was like "O yeah, egos assholes and drama, thats why I said never again when Drow left"
and promptly quit, and never looked back.

Drow was never a WW1sting guild.

Nor was Revelations.

Grats!

Drow was developer friendly, which makes it a WW1 caliber guild by default.

Well then I stand corrected, and kneel humbly before you, mouth open.
Let me rephrase. I have been in Hardcore guilds, and found it was just fucking retarded to live for a video game like that.

Does the proper phrasing make you feel better? All vindicated, and warm and squishy in your man panties?

My point still stands. If you invest that level of effort into a video game, you will find yourself very alone, and very regretfull at some point in your life. I know I sure did, and it taught me a lesson:

This is entertainment, and if you let it encompass you, and become your only means of self actualization, it will hurt you, just like dope, whores and porn.

To be this obsessed with something you claim to despise so much is just unhealthy, especially when your doing it 6 days a week.

When I played hardcore, I made quite a few friends. Still not regretting it...

so when someone as can solo get every good item from solo then i might hear your whines. however until then, there is still reason to raid and go into upper tier raid zones.
I'd be cool with an items Set where you get one piece from a collections turn-in, another from an easy solo random drop, the third from a straight forward Heroic drop, the fourth from a difficult Heroic quest, the fifth from a very difficult Heroic/Signature quest line, the sixth from an Epic random drop, and the final piece from a Mythic scaled multi-Epic quest line.

Wow, stellar advice Dr.Phil.
Sure, you just spent the last two days arguing about Eq2 with a bunch of guys you claim are obsessed, pathetic shut-ins, but hey I'm glad to hear how awesome RL is going for you and how you no longer care enough about this kind of shit to really be bothered. /wink/nudge/wink

Anyways, if you really wanna keep going with the whole "You're just a bunch of computer nerds and I have better things to do in my awesome RL" thing then try and give more examples of just how cool you really are.

When finally leaving the argument, make sure to inform them you will be partaking in some sort of basic social function.
Try something like: "Listen, if you want to sit around being wrong about the season finale of Avatar: The Last Airbender [Dragon loot tables] on a fine Saturday night, you can, but I am going to a bar with people I recently met at work" or "Hey, if you think that's the best strategy for the last level of Battletoads, be my guest, but maybe you can tell me the best strategy for driving to a woman's house to attend a party she is throwing for 50 of her closest friends because that's what I'm doing right after I post this sentence!"

What this does quite effectively is establish yourself as someone capable of maintaining real life social contact on some sort of level, which makes you way cooler than all these other freaks who have been arguing anime [Mmorpg's] with you for most of the afternoon. Your case is made even stronger if you can somehow work in some mention of sexual contact or the presence of alcohol, and is significantly weakened if the real life activity is possibly nerdier than arguing with people online.

Examples:
Bad: I am going to an Elfpunk LARPing group that I found on Craigslist. Ha ha. I bet you losers wish you had a big velvet cape like the one I am wearing right now (I am wearing a giant green cape while I'm typing this. Picture that, losers).

Good: I'll be up in the club getting wasted on Bacardi Breezers with some hot bitches and they gonna be all up on me, brb.
