It really seems like loot = ego to the hardcore crowd, and progression is an excuse to justify it, cause those who have that loot and arent progressing to VP arent QQ, theyre off having fun and enjoying the game, and yet it seems like everyone in a hardcore guild has thier panties all knotted up over how much EQ2 sucks, all the while clearing the end game zones for more and more loots, every single day.

I see this argument many times from people, and frankly I don't understand why. It's not that the end game raiding guilds want to hoarde all of the best loot in the game for themselves, it's that the more difficult the encounter, the better its loot table should be, not the other way around. Instanced drops right now in some cases are better than the end game raid zone stuff, and vice versa. This should never be the case. If you only have 8 hours a week to play the game, and all you do is run instances with friends or solo, the loot that drops there is more than good enough for your needs. The end game drops are supposed to be better because they are supposed to be needed to defeat these encounters, that's how progression should work. Unfortunately the way most of the encounters are right now, tier 7 gear is all that you need to complete all of the content.

you said the key phrase there .. you seem to think its blasphemy when i think its perfectly fine as long as not every good item comes from heroic/solo content ... and as of right now it doesn't.
and most of that good stuff that comes from Heroic will be replaced by higher raid tier gear anyway ... so i don't see what the big deal is.
you HC raiders create false claims so that you can further you cause. you act as if every piece of raid loot is worthless ... when thats just bullshit lies.

Nobody ever said that every piece of raid loot is garbage, because that simply isn't true. All that is being said is that the risk vs reward is simply not where it should be.

Its not risk vs. reward...cause you are risking more soloing...some classess have an easier time soloing while others have it easier in a raid....

What it is, is that epople think cause you need 24 people to do a raid you should get better stuff and honestly i can agree and disagree on that topic...
The game isnt that bad..

Yes. It`s exactly what i think. Because it takes 24 people working together to kill 1 mob and get 1 (maybe 2) item, this item should be better then one from group encounter.

You asume the whole point of raiding is the loot and loot only? Tell me is that the ONLY reason you raid?

You assume he assumes. He didn't say that at all.
The reward for killing a raid mob is loot. That says nothing about the point of raiding or a person's reason for raiding. It is the reward for killing a raid mob, plain and fucking simple.
