or maybe they see that its more profitable to gear the game to all playstyles, and see the casual gamer just as important if not MORE important than the hardcore raider. As it stand right now hardcore raiders make up a small portion of the community. To SOE it is more important to gear the game torward the shiney collectors, the Heroic encounter crowd and of course the soloer.

now i know its blasphemy on the EQ2 flames forum to talk about the success of RoK, because we all know ROK is "killing" the game, according to those here. but if you look at other sites RoK is talked as a huge success.

to be blunt HC raiders, you're just not that important ... you don't drive a game anymore .. you hinder it. SoE knows this and is gearing the game for that purpose.

This game is dying a death of a thousand cuts, Ravanos. And you still are not supreme. You don't have to be what you think of as a 'hardcore raider' to see that things are fucked up. Anyone would have to be a total fucking inbred douchebag fucktwat moron to think that RoK is a raving success.

I enjoy more than just raiding, but if SOE can't figure out which carrot to hang on the end of the stick, it won't be long before Horizons has more subscribers than EQ2.

I am NOT a supreme ... i don't even like Mo Town. but seriously i never said i was supreme, however its amazing how many HC raiders on this forum lives and dies with thier decision to quit. Or how many HC raiders on this forum think that thier way of thinking is the ONLY way to go.

I did not say you are not a Supreme, I said you are not supreme. Although you may suck so badly that no one wants to raid with you, I have yet to encounter anyone playing EQ2 (fucktwats like you aside) who does not want to raid at least occasionally. The population of players who focus most of their playing time on raiding may only be a small part of the subscriber base, but on servers that aren't ghost towns most players are either in guilds that spend some part of the time raiding or otherwise find ways to get into raids when they want one.

Like it or not, this game was designed with raiding as the focus of the endgame. If raiding falls to shit then SOE will have to come up with some compelling game content to replace it. Emo RP sessions and crafting are not compelling game content.

Who is this ultra hardcore crowd you keep referring to, because it sure doesn't apply to most raiders.

Also, it sounds like you have a lot of pent up anger and animosity towards people who are good at a video game.
How about you chill out, go gather up some in-game buddies, and make an honest effort to experience how much fun killing big monsters and getting great loots with 23 friends can be. I promise you it won't take up any time that you don't already spend on the game.
