Ravanos - you are correct, raiders are a small percentage of the base. you know why? Because the raiders have a grip on classes, game mechanics, class interaction, etc etc. Joe Casual does not care about shit like that so they see things as roses, but Joe casual does not know shit about how things work. there is soo much stuff for , hold on, lets be honest, we are all casual players, raiders just dont suck at this game and get the most out of thier social,gaming experience. so stfu and go play morrowind for extreme solo play.

whats this like the 1000 post about how eq2 is crap? if you dont like to play eq2 go play something else its a game nothing more.

put time and effort into learning a chr and you get more out the game weather your a raider or not but if you dont like the game or the way the game is going then stop playing it, you pay to play the game after all its your money you spend it how you like

(Sorry for getting back to this late...I don't come to this forum every day) Maybe I didn't word what I meant very clearly. I did not mean to imply that you want to keep people from having upgrades. What I meant was that there are a lot of people who enjoy the fact that different classes can get good upgrades from a variety of zones whether they are low level RoK raids all the way up to VP and beyond. Protector's Realm is viable longer than it normally would be if something drops there that lots of people want even when they're also able to take on higher level encounters. The same is true for Hate. I will take your word for it if you say VP is no fun. I've never been there and don't mean to imply I know anything about the mechanics of the encounters there.

If you enjoy medieval fantasy themed MMORPGs, you will most likely enjoy EQ2. From conversations with veteran players, EQ2 is more enjoyable now then when it first came out. How much you enjoy it and how long you play it will depend on what aspects of MMORPGs you like and how you like EQ2's implementation of the genre.

When you get to a point where they game has lost its luster to you, do everyone a favor and just try out some other games instead of bitching how much SOE or EQ2 sucks. Be happy it provided you enjoyment for as long as it did and just move on. Feel free to come back and visit from time to time to see if there is anything new you feel is worth playing.
