Ive been a WoW raider for a year or so and got blahed out and tried the eq2 demo, i have to say i was srsly impressed. Yet, looking over the forums here it seems a lot of the base is upset, is this just general qq? or do you guys really hate soe? I mean the grass really isn't any greener. It seems eq2 shares a lot of the same issues, but has more depth and custmoization. Are all eqers burnt out?

Agree- EQ2 has its problems, but its still the best game out by far. Pay no attention to these forums, these dudes all live eat and breathe EQ2, 24/7/365, and are notorius for being cry babies.

If you thought the trial was fun, Id say spend the $$ and take it for a spin. Youll definatly get your 50 bucks worth, and 15 dollar sub fee in entertainment value. Its just when you get to the end game, stop going outside, and sit staring at 3 computers all day, while going over ever encounter with a parser and a calculator that youll burn out and turn into one of these dudes here who thinks theyre "pro level gamers" but fails to remember noone ever won any $$ playing EQ2, and none of them have ever competed against Fatality for shit in EQ2.

Its a good ride, with decent graphics.

the biggest problems with eq2 are its lackluster combat and encounter design and the complete lack of integrity among the development team and staff.

EQ2 is the best MMO currently on market imo.
SOE is one of, if not the, worst MMO developer on the market.

Each player has to decide which trait that EQ2 has is more predominant for them.


Edit: Why do people keep thinking that if people are complaining about the game, they don't like the game? It is more than possible to give criticism about a game, and still like it, in the hopes that whatever it was that raised the original issue will be fixed.

I've not found any games outside of EQ & EQ2 that have held my interest and fascination like they do. The others just don't have the feel to them that EQ does.

SOE though seems to be doing their best to ruin the game.

So I'm right on deck of the LOVE EQ2 but HATE SOE boat.
