Hahahaha. Not really.
Anyway, the lag wasn't bad last night, but that doesn't mean that it won't be horrible again tonight. I am not foolish enough to believe it all of a sudden disappeared.

Lag or lack thereof can easily give or take a third of your raid forces damage output, at least for us.

Speaking for Runnyeye, last night's VP was the same lag as always, maybe even with bigger spikes.

Re: This fucking, fucking lag
Lag last night seemed worse. Worse in the fact that some fights I had none and then some fights I had 2-3 second ca lag. I would rather just lag the whole zone so I can get in to a rythem then have it constantly change from fight to fight.
Ohh well it will get fixed Im assuming by next expansion.

Lag is killing EQ2~
Makes me want to cancel right on the spot every time I have to raid with 1-5 second spell lag!

Re: This fucking, fucking lag
Overland zones start to inflate spell recovery times as soon as there's 20 or more people in zone, no matter how far away they are from you. I wouldn't dare play an enchanter as a main right now, this would drive me fucking nuts.

Re: This fucking, fucking lag
From LU 44
Quote:
CLIENT DETAILS - The client will automatically enable a low-memory mode when you are running low on memory. The low-memory mode will downsample far away textures and unload geometry that hasn’t been drawn in a while. The low-memory mode should generally be invisible.
- Performance settings were adjusted slightly for better rendering at lower qualities without significantly impacting performance.
- Flora will now only be rendered on High Quality settings and above.
- Objects will not disappear as quickly on lower settings
- The client is Large Address Aware, meaning that you are much less likely to run out of memory if you have 3GB or more of RAM and are running either the 64-bit versions of Windows or have modified your boot.ini to support 3GB user address space.
- Color Profile changes:
- If you have a desktop color profile configured (or your gamma ramp changed), the client is better about restoring your settings when it exits.
- The client no longer overwrites your color profile settings with its own. Instead, the gamma values in the Options -> Display -> Color Correction modify the desktop color profile settings. This means that if all of the client's Color Correction settings are left at defaults (brightness at 0.0, contrast at 1.0, gamma values at 1.0) the client will use your desktop color profile settings.
- Crashes should be better about restoring your color profile.

Im no programer, but I am willing to bet this shit has something to do with it. Ever since shit has been rendering really far away and turning down my rendering distance had zero effect to make it stop. And the whole low memory thing is BS, i ran 4 instances of EQ2 on 1 gig of ram (after i took out the other 5) all of them went shit laggy, yet everything still rendered as far as the horizon.

Innovation Server get's closer and closer to non-raiding-server.
The difficulty of mobs including spell lag is horrible.
All tactic becomes void, if it can't get executed, as people have lag.

Re: This fucking, fucking lag
seriously I'd give up level 80 on both of my characters and turn them back to 79 or even 70 if it meant no more lag :<

Re: This fucking, fucking lag
I imagine I'd consider continuing playing EQ2 in return for no lag.

Re: This fucking, fucking lag
What can SOE do? Can they like, upgrade the servers or something?
I don't have lag THAT bad but then again I do not raid often.
Still, very-little-to-no-lag would be much nicer.
