One of the best, if not the best.
That being said, I am a bit dubious toward an underdark or whatever expansion setting mrrr
For me having played the game solid for 3 years ROK has been the worst expansion..even worse than DOF (and that takes some doing)

I always got the impression that there was a lot more to deathtoll than we saw (judging by the distance to the ceiling/sky in the roofless areas). and since dt is supposed to be part of ethermere, maybe we will see some of the other areas (and a fight with tarinax after he gets his soul back....)

What I'd like to see is gnomes discovering a Prothean ruin and having to fight off the incoming Reaper invasion...

Oh shit, wrong game...

A very reliable source told me they are stealing everything from WoW (the world...NPCs...quests...everything) and just renaming everything to avoid copy right lawsuits.

It's hard to judge them all by the same standards. But RoK has really left the game feeling a little hollow for me. That said, there is some great content in there, but the 500 or so quests that take you from 70-80 and give you those extra 40 AAs really do suck out your soul, and I can't see my swashy alt or any other alt making that journey (my Illu, SK and Defiler made it to 80).

It seems that they really hasn't intended fore AAs to feature initially, only a level increase. There was a big outcry about a level increase and most instead wanted AAs, as they have a greater meaning. I could be wrong. But if the next expansion doesn't increase the level cap and only expand (MUCH) further via the AA system, life could again be breathed back into EQ2.

That said, there are many other things for them to overcome. Such as a failed and flawed progression system that RoK started with and SoH ignored. Class issues, poor raid design, etc.

Damn, I must not be normal, cause It was fun to me doing all those quests, great way to explore the zones progressively, gear yourself, raise your faction, unlock the sokokar, it felt very smooth and very rewarding.
Giving me something to do even if I had less than an hour to play or 4 + hours
Also the instances are pretty nice and rewarding without requiring 3 hours or trash cleaning ala SoH.
The only problem I see is that they make the T2 too "hard" in comparison to the others tier, blocking a lot of people early and not leaving them room to gear themself.
If they had been blocked at T3, that would have been better.

And to the people who don't like rok and answer "I have been playing for 3+ years", I am sorry, but I think there won't be any expansion that will please you anyway. You are just "burnt out" and biased, consciously or not and you are probably 10 times harder to satisfy that customers who started the game recently or came back after a long break like I did. (I left before DoF and came back end of EoF).

That's like being married for 10+ years, whatever your wife will do, she ll never be as pretty to you as she was on your first year :D

I would have to agree. It was a nice change of pace having quests to level you instead of having to group for 4 hours in hopes of getting half a level. The zones are pretty good looking and fun to boot.

Now if they were to beef up some quests in the 50+ to 60+ range to make it possible to level through those levels, that would be great, seeing as finding a group is difficult at times.

Amen to that, level from 40 to 60 is a pain, old zones are fucking boring
