crap, how to i put a screen shot in here. It doesn't look like using the paperclip attach function did anything to what i just posted.

If GM;s don't send ingame mail, tell the ass GM Gaunsky that. That is the GM in question. Mail has SOE plaster in the title in red and the mail has an SOE background.

To the OP:

I'm not saying you're lying, but this sounds similar to what happened to a friend of mine last week but it wasn't because he was a third or fourth party in line. It was because he bought plat and it turned out that the plat he bought had been originally stolen from other players (at least that is what Sony claims). Either way he bought plat, got caught, and was stripped of the plat. He was just lucky his account wasn't suspended or that the plat farmers he bought from didn't then hack his account and strip his toons and his guild.

I seriously doubt SOE would blame you if you had bought/traded with someone who had gotten the plat illegally. They'd punish the person who had bought/stolen the plat in the first place.

Again, not saying you're lying, SOE has done some dumbass things before, but your story needs a bit more proof. Say a screenshot of the ingame mail?

Um http is not a format. http is what the world wide web runs on.

Did you click on the paperclip and then click one of the Browse... buttons and pick a screen snapshot from your hard drive?

If you need help saving a screen snapshot as a file:

yep, did all that. just saw where the option for using an http location was also a secondary choice. I'll keep trying and maby try saving it in a different format first.

ah, file size was to big. has to take a small section of it. Running on a 40+ inch HD tv so it must have had a lot of info in the attachment.

lets see if this works

Doesn't really matter at this point though. Like i said, already petitioned my butt off and argued with them over the whole thing. Basic feedback i got from those i talked to in vent was SOE doesn't like to over-ride original decisions. Makes them look bad i guess.

It's a dead issue at this point. Fought the battle but the story was so complicated i think they just didn't want to deal with it.

Regardless, my main thing was just to warn the masses in eq2flames. Always loved this site and was a huge help. My post was for nothing more than to let you know what i saw policy wise going on, verify beyond a dought the people i got money from are players and not running around farming anything beyond making money for themselves. Best i could gather from the petition was it was a chain they followed. I wouldn't have bothered posting it if i had bought it, no real point to doing that since this isn't SOE.

It was truely just a warning to the masses about another screwed up thing going on. If they are doing this now, any big transaction should be scutinized before it is accepted. That was my only words of wisdom.
I did suggest they ban the account in question. I did tell them i could care less if they flag me, since flagging me basicly changes nothing about how i play. PLat can be remade, so no HUGE deal there. Gotta admit though, not the fan i use to be.

Add me to the "Sony bites" list of people now. Guess i should have figured that out a long time ago with all the posts basicly saying the same thing. I guess I was always into the enjoyment part to analyze what goes on. Was basically a killing junkie and could care less about the rest other than helping people accomplish stuff at any level......oohhh and raiding....lol
