Raijinn posted a message directing us to vote for the quality of EQ2's graphics on MMORPG.com.

So rather than waste my time doing that, I sent this /feedback.

Raijinn Thundergard tells us on the forums to visit MMORPG.com and vote for how great EQ2's graphics are. But how do I tell him that the better mages in tier 7 are forced to wear brown jumpsuits and dress like grease monkey auto mechanics, when mages in other games are wearing the fancy stuff of high fantasy?

That X'Haviz's Gown of Glory either needs new artwork or new coloring, or needs to be replaced.

Technically, EQ2 has very detailed graphics. I remember showing a friend West Freeport on my (then) new 24" monitor at 1920x1200, and it took his breath away.

What the art department has done with character graphics since launch, on the other hand, is entirely different. They say this is in part due to the way the skeletons where designed, and it limits their ability to create distinct-looking graphics. I imagine that is part of it, but I'm sure they should be able to do more than they are now.

Amen to that...if they can't do that then give us fucking dyes at least. Till the its Barrister's robe in public areas for me...been that way since DoF release.

Dyes for cloth BP's would go a long way and make a ton of sense.

Yeah the eq2 graphics engine is amasing.... So well implimented.... And oviously future proof....

I just love it whn my cpu spends all its time drawing geometry and skinning shadows instead of offloading that woth to the gpu - no wonder it fucking lags

EQ2 definately has good graphics, kicks the shit out of WoW and GW imo. The item design is a whole different story though, games like Lineage 2 own the shit out of EQ2 when it comes to weapon and armor design.
