Default Re: EQ2 Devs, just a bunch of teasing B"*tards?

Here is something for the list:

A. Multi-core support - Funny how a game that was meant for the future generation of hardware doesn't support the hardware that was developed after release. How long have have these computers been around now? Hello SoE they are not going a away.

B. Modern GPU support - Top high end video cards don't produce any better performance than cards from three years ago. An 8800 card can hit 900fps on the ATITool furry cube benchmark test but the same card gets maybe 15fps running EQ2 on the lowest settings. I mean WTF you guys thinking only using 2% of the cards' power.

C. Fix the server side lag - Enough said

The other day I went Darklight woods and saw a whole much of obviously new players lagging and ghosting around like crazy. If you guys don't fix these technical issues this game will die.

so we're supposed to complain about ideas that weren't implemented that we didn't want anyways?

this has to be the most moronic thread subject ever!

I'm thinking spell cures will be as dead in the water as spell consolidation when they realize how much content they would have to completely revamp in order to make that work.

When you have curable detrimental effects which are fail effects when cured, they can currently be tip toed around, put them all on the same cure, well then you never cure and fail or just cure and fail.

Spell consolidation is the best idea they've ever had.

Also, class mergers are waaaaay behind schedule. (I have no idea what the schedule for this was, but I'm sure it's waaaay behind, because someone once lit a match somewhere in San Diego county and that put the SOE devs waaaay behind schedule. Again.)

It does get annoying as fuck when you are pvp'ing and you see a bot....then you don't....then you do....then gone.

The fabled skeletal revamp that the devs have been working on since 2005. At fan fair last year they said it was suppose to come an update or two after RoK.

Domino talks about it like it's at least a work in progress.

To play something else?

On topic, bard speed is retarded, but there's a consolidated thread about that in the dirge forum.

And I'm not in favour of buff consolidation, even as a bard. I just think Sony would fuck it up somehow.

I had a feeling they'd be too incompetent to implement guild housing. Was too ambitious for their level of retardation imo. When it does happen it'll be a scaled up version of the current housing system which will be pointless fluff and hugely disappointing. It will be implemented when they realise they've been caught out and have to rush 'something' out to satisfy the crafters.

Right now I just wish they'd fix the lag. Like I've said in other threads, I play free MMO's which are miles more stable than EQ2.

This game is based off hopes and dreams. They give everyone alittle taste of something to keep them fishing and paying that $15 a month while they just continue to dick around.

Every single time they release expansion details everyone gets all excited "RoK gonna be the new life for EQ2, they're finally gonna get raiding right this time" ect ect. Then when the game comes out it's missing half of it's selling points and comes with the same piece of shit content and development as all the previous ones.

1)they never gave a release date at ff for the guild halls.
2)the spell consolidation was never set in stone and was just told to everyone that is being considered
3)the art dev at ff even said that the skeleton revamp was low on their priority list with the amount of staff they have and the amount of work that it entails and the amout on their plate with normal day to day shit
