After reading the in-testing feedback on soe's forums, I was in disbelief. This is the coercer 'fix'? Don't get me wrong, I fully believe they were in need of some loving, but.. they are reporting t1 dps on test and illusionists are getting a nice boost in dps??

I'm not sure where balancing went.. out the window or out the door. Will the devs ever quit until every single class is t1 dps and there is very little to separate the classes, except the type of gear they wear? Hi, I'm a plate, clothy, leather, chain t1 dps. Buffs? De-buffs? What are those?? Leave me alone.. I'm DPS!!

I just don't understand.

I'm confused, how the fuck are Illusionists getting a boost in DPS? Can you please explain. Thanks.

And obviously this is the first part of the coercer fix, and they'll scale it back to meet the actual needs.

This is like one of those "dream update notes" people used to write up ages ago, in vain hope.

Seriously though, they're fixing Surging Tempest. Wtf! I almost suspect they're not making a new expansion and are just out of stuff to do at the office!

The only Illusionists getting a boost are the ones that were too lazy or too stupid to use Volatile Magic before. The rest of us are getting a nerf. Probably not as much of one as some would like to see...

Your sentence doesn't even make sense.

Is this what you're like on crack? - WTF does crack have to do with eq2? I'm sorry but I don't know any crackhead that plays eq2.

Sorry, but I don't have time to decode whatever whining you've done in this one, - Ahh the whining argument, Look if your just gonna shrug off every complaint as whining then just stfu, I brought up pretty decent points that most people agree on ( I.E not many people are too fond of the cure change ) Just because you finally get to get into deep chardok, doesn't mean your any less shitty of a player. I bet your one of those people who thinks it's ok that fableds drop off heroic nameds too.

It's called risk vs reward.

but I'm sure it's just more whining
- Didn't you already conclude I was whining in the previous sentence? Damn talk about short term memory.

GG mate, try better next time.
You don't play the game anymore, therefore you don't get to complain about anything. Everything you post is a whine. And, by the way, there are no risks in video games.

Correction, I play the game until AOC comes out. Can't say I won't give eq2 one final chance.

Risk vs reward is a general idea in video games, there are plenty of risk in video games, I suggest you look up Hardcore mode in diablo 2, perfect example of risk vs reward, though that is an extreme example, my point still remains that there are plenty of ways to implement risk vs reward, and chardok was one of them.

You had to risk dying, and starting over from the beginning and that soko post was in a sense your reward. You can actually compare the soko post in chardok to checkpoints in platform games, and what SOE did is give the player all the checkpoints right from the beginning.

It's such a stupid un-needed change too, the sole fact that they put this in is to make the game easier, no other way around it sorry, and this game is already way too easy, but it's ok sooner or late you'll realize SOE just wants your money lol.

So your argument fails....again.

Keep trying though I'm loving how you fail each post.

Problem is, this works well in solo and/or linear games where you have to do the risky stuff to get to the next checkpoint.
But in EQ2, you have the option to get a conjurer to summon you down. Or you could be a tinkerer and summon yourself to it. Or you could follow a grp down, or maybe some other way, as long as you got past the first gate, you are more or less set.

So the 'risk' part was already very situational, ranging from no risk to some risk; the only thing it comes down to is what you have at hand to attempt it at the time you want to get the post.

Then comes the other side of the coin: grps going to deep Chardok/CoK, but you need sokokar access, or you are out of luck. So how are you going to get it without a grp? Seems you need to do it in one way mentioned above.

Doesn't matter much anyway. If you're not retarded you can invis to the post without aggroing a single thing anyway.
