Default SOE Customer Support, & forum use, a summary

1) Petition issue.

2) Get generic CS response from a GM who has never played the game.

3) Complain about said GMs lack of understanding to get pushed up a level to a GM with a fancy title attached to their GM, like LEad GM or Ninja GM etc (+title always means they are one level up and want the whole world to know they are superior to the lowbie GMs )

4) Find out that this Titled GM also knows nothing about the game past level 20 game play.

5) Try to educate GMs in Petition system, and find out GMs are a separate company SOE bought to spew BS responses to people.

6) BAM - now your up to SUPER GM level, HEAD GM of X , you can fill in X for whatever. These guys really know their stuff!!!

7) Oh wait no not really. Not only that now the Customer Support GM tells you if you even message them about the issue again your account will be banned.

8) After feeling total disappointment at CS solution in place post a thread to SOE Forums to explain the new way you can do something-- which we learned from the previous 6 steps is totally legit tactic. Just informative post to let people know about game play issues.

9) Board Owner of Forums (not even owned by SOE) Locks your thread and tells you to go back and get a CS solution. (which if I did i'd get banned from step #7 above)

10) Make post on forums letting other players understand the awsome CS / Forum mechanics of the game so they don't waste their time.

Just do a /ragequit, cancel your account, and move along. SoE is a basket case right now. Come back if they ever wise and improve.

I had this happen:

1)September 2007 - Petition cause a moving crate in my house was full of shit I couldnt delete or remove, and yet the items in the crate where counting to my house total, and wasting space.

2) GM tells me to make a list of those items and send them the entire thing. I made a 31 item list, and sent it back to them.

3) GM says sorry this issue was closed, you have 24 hours to respond to a GMS mail.

4) Repetition, explain the items in the moving crate are cock blocking my house count, and please delete them.

5) Log into my house to find out a GM deleted everything with the same name on the list, but NOT any of the shit in the moving crate.

6) Repetition and explain the situation. Work my way up to Super GM status, to eventually be told the items where already removed from my moving crate and stop harrassing the GMS. I explain to the GM he needs to come to my house and actually look, and see they are still there, and he explains that they cannot log into the game itself, they just do customer service remotely. He sends me a form letter and thanks me for my REPORT OF A NAMING VIOLATION, and tells me the case is closed.

7) I repetition, and Im told if I do not stop harrassing the GMs about a petition that has been resolved, my account will be banned.

9) January 2008- I get an email letting me know my petition issue has been resolved, and that the items in chest where removed from my house. I log into my house, and once again, a GM deleted everything on the list except THE ITEMS IN THE FUCKING CRATE!

10) Give up, move the crate over inside a replica Exquisite chest so that it cant be seen, and use it as a step to look into my AA mirror.

True story.

Is sony or whoever they are outsourcing to to run the game - are they trying to speed-up the process of ending eq2?

I came to the same conclusion. I'm not one for conspiracy garbage, but I'm having a hard time coming up with other explanation.

I realized the other day that I actually long for the days of Moorgard. He could frequently be a witless tool, but at least he allowed us to vent some frustration in the official forums and gave us the illusion that someone was listening, even if they didn't like what we had to say.
