He checks out.
Trust me, the very last thing we want here is someone impersonating a Dev. In fact, doing so is a bannable offense.

It's not possible to receive email and validate from a SoE address unless it's legit. Trust us, it's legit.

Good, then maybe some of us will consider returning (if VG or WOW don't get their hooks into us that is). Hopefully it will be better than EOF which for me was vastly disappointing. Either way good luck with it. Your gonna have some major competition in 2007 with so many new MMO's coming out.

Re: EoF in Review
I dunno. Its starting to grow on me. I personally like the raid zones more overall than I did with the original KOS. I still love labs and vyemms in terms of looks, but I like the design of the new raid zones. I also really like the idea of the avatars and the time it will take to learn each one, then figure out when it is up and when its most vulnerable.
It gives more versatility to raid schedules cmf 20 min tops, fth an hour, IS 2 hours (stupid armor and their 2986723904673 hp), and EH the all day project lol.
We're almost a month in and theres a lot for me to do still in terms of improvements and quests. I like that. I am not rich by any means so I have to farm all my shit for my adornements.. which will take me quite the long time.
I don't think its perfect by anymeans, and I feel like we are still beta testing in a live environment but I've come to expect that. I'm eager to see what GMG produces because wow is too eazy, vg's game mechanics blow and dont make up for that amazing environment imo, and im not a warhammer fan... so im here for a while, heh.

Re: EoF in Review
This was in today's patch notes:
Quote:
*** Zones ***
Lesser Faydark:
- The Nybright Camp now has a Fence with access to goods from all three major cities, with a significant markup for shipping and handling fees.
|
I'd been complaining about limited broker access for evil characters in EoF. This is a nice change, and I appreciate it.

Re: EoF in Review
I could be alone on this, but I would love to see an experience system similar to eq1 re-instated.
I can't tell you how many days played I sat in Old Sebilis grinding xp. Personally, it seemed as if making the level cap harder to acheive (we all remember level 54, and any other hell levels that were implemented) made another gap between hardcore and casual players, as well as raiders and non-raiders. Being able to get a character to level 70 legitimately in 5 days played shouldn't happen, in my opinion.
Just think back to your eq1 days, sitting at the king camp (which was one of the better xp spots back then) for 8 hours straight in the same group and getting 25% of your level. Now think of KoS and running through HoF (used as one of the better xp spots in early KoS) in less than an hour and getting anywhere between 100% and 30% of your level (depending on being level 60 or 69).
I think EQ1 lasted longer than EQ2 will strictly due to the game being too easy to progress into. If Kunark raises the level cap to 75, hypothetically, and it takes just as long as 60 to 70/50 did, just think about how much longer it would be before we ran out of raiding/grouping content.
To put it simply, this game is just too damned easy. I understand marketing and demographics and competition better than most. However, I find an MMORPG taking an appopriate time to progress through as a fun waste of my time, where as I see an MMORPG that I've "temporarily beaten" just a waste of my time.
Oh yeah, also...
I must say that seeing all this time wasted on "fluff" content such as Frostfell just upsets me when we have mobs like the rumbler in EH and countless other broken encounters just sitting there not getting touched.
