I can't see SOE trying to attract new customers. Their policy seems to be to just do enough to hold enough customers in the game to keep eq2 profittable (is that a word?). Either they're preparing for eq3, or they're not really interested in competing with WoW and other MMOs, also those that are launching soon.

It's like a high-up manager looked at the sales and the financial numbers, paid some "experts" to make an analysis about the prospects of the product Everquest 2, and then decided not to invest into the game to steal players from WoW.

its a old game so i guess soe thinks that way.

they have other projects in the works no doubt so maybe they have given all the good devs those to do and told the bad devs just keep that game going sort of thing.

1 thing is for a dead cert the devs cant talk to each other at all this is why imo you getting such messed up loot tables and buggy mobs.

they have like 1 if not 2 mmos that are in development for the playstation 3 one a super spy like game that looks promising as do all mmos in early development and i forget if any of the other multitude of mmos coming to consoles are from soe
